Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is a common finding among individuals that their way of thinking and behaving have been changing with their age. I am firmly align with this beacause with the age people have experiences, which motivates them to change these with time.

Firstly, change is an only constant, they need to switch their habits to uplift their career and they do not find them productive. As, when they were child, they had no clue, how important habits for us to live happy and healthy lives. Sometimes they choose them under the peer pressure or by follwing someone. However, with the growing age they get to know its impacts on them, then they come out with a result, which habit is good for them which not. As a result, they opt good onefor suceed by changing the old one.

Secondly, with the age people mind follows rational thinking because they have been experiencing new things, issues, and situations on a daily basis. Following this, their neurons started working fastly than when they had no experience of the world. The old person think multiple before atempting and work as compared to an adult, who always in hurry to complete the task irrespective of evavulating the benefits and drwabacks.

In conclusion, as far as I am conerned people thinking and acting ability rely on their age, which gives them a set of memories on the basis of which they can come up with the right solution . So, they adapt new habits which help them to achive their goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that people change their habits and opinions as they age, and you give two relevant reasons—greater awareness of which habits are useful and more experience in decision-making. The examples about childhood habits and an older person considering consequences help address the question. However, the discussion of changing opinions is less fully developed than the discussion of habits, and the claim that older people’s neurons work faster is not clearly explained or supported. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how experience can alter a specific opinion, and develop each reason with a concrete example rather than relying on broad claims.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to identify. Some connections between ideas, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Following this” does not clearly show how experiencing new situations leads to the claim about neurons, while “As a result” introduces a conclusion that is difficult to follow because the preceding sentence is awkwardly connected. References such as “these” and “them” are also not always precise. Use linking phrases to show the actual relationship between ideas, and make sure each pronoun clearly refers to a specific noun.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “peer pressure,” “rational thinking,” “benefits and drawbacks,” and “productive.” These choices show an attempt to discuss habits and decision-making beyond very basic terms. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the message harder to understand, as in “beacause,” “folllwing,” “suceed,” and “drwabacks.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “change these with time” and “the old one.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations; choose words that express the intended relationship precisely, especially when discussing how experience affects habits and opinions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “because” and “which,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “I am firmly align” needs a correctly formed verb phrase, and “The old person think” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “As, when they were child” is also not grammatically complete, while “who always in hurry” is missing a verb. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subjects and verbs, and review articles and punctuation around subordinate clauses. This will make your complex ideas clearer.
