Student answer (Band 5.5)
Change is the law of nature. it is significant that habits and opinions needs to be changed among people as they get older. I am truly agree with this statement that persons should change themselves with the passage of time.
To begin with, to live happily life with thier loved ones, change about habits and opinions are very important. Nowdays technology become plays a crucial role in our life. For example, a person who drives a mannual car for a long time and if he converts his car from mannual to automatic, he can drive easy and smooth by changing thier thoughts. As a result, he can enjoy the ride as well as new automatic features of the car. Additionally, when a person accept the opinions of the new generation, he creates a friendly relationship with the young one. Therefore, the youngsters can share the thoughts and problems easily with them.
Furthermore, some people would not change thier habits and opinions towards children and females. It is very wrong. Mostly people think that some kind of task can not be perfomed by women and toddlers and it is only done by men. If we will not give them chance and will not teach the way to do , how they can perfrom the particular task. However, they losse thier confidence and accept the myth.
To conclude, it is important to change the thoughts and habits as people get older to enjoy the rest of life with thier loved ones as well as grow themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that people’s habits and opinions should change as they grow older, and both body paragraphs offer relevant reasons. The examples about adapting to an automatic car and listening to younger people help illustrate your view. However, the discussion only partly develops the task. The car example focuses on convenience, so the link between age and changing habits or opinions could be explained more directly. The point about gender stereotypes is relevant, but it shifts towards giving women and children opportunities rather than showing specifically how people’s views change with age. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of why ageing prompts change and how this benefits people.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” make the stages easy to follow, and the ideas within the first body paragraph generally progress from adapting to technology to building relationships with younger people. Some connections are less clear, however. The second body paragraph begins with people refusing to change their views, then moves to tasks women and children may be denied, without fully explaining the link between these points and ageing. The conclusion repeats the main position but adds little synthesis. Use clearer links between each example and its main reason, and vary transitions so the organisation feels less formulaic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related words and phrases, including “crucial role,” “friendly relationship,” “confidence,” and “myth,” which help communicate your ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “change,” “people,” and “task,” and several word-choice or collocation errors make some phrases awkward, for example “live happily life,” “accept the opinions,” and “enjoy the rest of life.” Spelling errors such as “thier,” “Nowdays,” and “mannual” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. More natural collocations would make your meaning clearer and help you express the ideas with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If we will not give them chance … how they can perform the particular task.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “habits and opinions needs to be changed” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “I am truly agree” uses an incorrect verb pattern. The conditional sentence would be clearer as “If we do not give them a chance and teach them how, how can they perform the task?” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation.
