Student answer (Band 6.0)
As people get older, it becomes very common for them to change both their habits and their opinions. It is undeniable that both the viewpoints and the opinions are changing from age to age. Although, there are several strong arguments in the favor of the given assertion, I partially agree with this view. However, the justifications for criticizing the statement cannot be neglected.
To commence with, there are more than enough compelling reasons to support this assertion. the first and foremost is, experiences throughout the life change an opinion of an individual. To explain it, as they grow older, they do mistakes and learn from them. They gain experience how to deal with problems and how to tackle them. In younger ages, they have a mind set which does not have an experience. As they become aged, their opinions get changed. Second but not the last, responsibilities create an influence on their habits. To elaborate it, people get more and more responsibilities as they developing . Those responsibilities are of their families, careers, education and many more. Due to the influence or burden of such duties, their habits and opinions automatically get changed.
However, the justifications for criticizing this assertion cannot be overlooked. To start with, personalities and the core values will remain stable throughout the life. To explain, some people follow their personalities and moral values till death because they learnt from their parents during their childhood. They cannot change themselves with the time. Furthermore, changes are not dependable on ages, instead on experience. To explicate it, people change themselves according to their experience. Those changes can also be happened due to the influence of social media, and surroundings as well.
In conclusion, although there are strong points supporting the statement such as gain of experience, there are also valid reasons, like core values does not change with the age to oppose it. Therefore, I partially agree with the assertion, as it has both merits and demerits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you partially agree, and the conclusion returns to that view. You address both sides with relevant reasons, including learning from experience and the effect of responsibilities, then the counterpoint that core values may remain stable. This covers the task well. To make the response more fully developed, explain the examples and links between causes and changes in greater detail. For instance, the point about family, career and education responsibilities lists influences but does not show how a particular habit changes. The claim that people learn values from parents also needs qualification or an example, since it is presented as applying broadly. More specific support would strengthen the argument and make the position more persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. The progression from reasons for change to reasons for stability is easy to follow, and signposts such as “However” and “In conclusion” help orient the reader. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, however: “To explain it,” “To elaborate it,” and “To explicate it” repeatedly announce explanations without creating especially natural connections. The reference in “Those responsibilities” is clear, but the relationship between responsibilities and changes in both habits and opinions could be made more explicit. Use a wider range of natural transitions and connect each example directly to the claim it supports to improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “viewpoints,” “responsibilities,” “core values,” and “influence,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “compelling reasons” and “cannot be overlooked.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “change from age to age,” “gain experience how to deal with problems,” and “the burden of such duties.” Repeated use of “assertion” and “change” also limits flexibility. Aim for precise collocations and natural phrasing rather than adding formal-sounding expressions: for example, say that people “gain experience in dealing with problems” and that responsibilities “shape their routines.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concession in “Although … I partially agree” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include the missing capital in “the first and foremost,” the faulty construction “as they developing,” and the agreement error “core values does not change.” There are also problems with articles and sentence formation, as in “they have a mind set which does not have an experience.” Review subject–verb agreement, verb forms after “as,” and article use, and check punctuation around introductory phrases. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentences clearer.
