Student answer (Band 5.0)
agree: parental brought up ,age factor, personality development, world and environment changing- SLOWLY AGING /GETTING OLDER.
Change is a constant in everyone's life as the world evolves, our experiences and developments shape us into different versions of human beings. As we age, people modify their usual traits and judgements to integrate successfully in this fast pace of modern life. This can result from many impactful factors such as genetic influences and maturity level,
daily surroundings and exposure to this rapidly changing world.
To commence with, the primary inflencing factor is the home environment and relationships. Habits are developed at a young age primarily it is said that a three-years old child has huge impact of the parent's behaviour and atmosphere of the home. These early childhood lessons remain with us thorughout our life, so maintaing a peaceful and beneficial environment can result in resilient and sophisticated adults. These kind of people adpat their usual routines and their thinking approach in a successful manner as they get older. For example, a cousin of mine was brought up in a very disciplined and education-focused environment that lead to him being a successful entreprenaur and a well-loved person by most.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your opening clearly states agreement, and you identify relevant influences, including upbringing, maturity, and changing surroundings. The example about your cousin also begins to support the point about early home influences. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it develops habits and childhood environment more than the claim that both habits and opinions change with age, and it does not explain clearly how opinions themselves evolve. The brief opening notes are not developed into reasons, and the essay ends without a conclusion or a clear summary of your position. The response is also below the required 250 words. Develop a second main reason about changing opinions, support it with a specific example, and conclude by directly answering the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic overall structure: an introduction is followed by a paragraph about home environment, and the example about your cousin is placed with the relevant point. Linking phrases such as “To commence with” and “For example” help signal the paragraph’s direction. However, the response has no concluding paragraph, and the initial notes (“agree: parental brought up, age factor…”) interrupt the flow rather than functioning as an introduction. The progression is limited because most of the essay develops one factor, while the other ideas listed are not taken forward. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the move from childhood lessons to adapting routines and thinking. Organise the essay around two distinct reasons, use clear topic sentences, and connect each example explicitly to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “experiences,” “maturity level,” “resilient,” and “disciplined,” and phrases such as “home environment” are relevant to the discussion. This shows some ability to use less common language, although accuracy and natural collocation are uneven. For example, “fast pace of modern life” would be more natural as “fast-paced modern life,” while “huge impact of the parent's behaviour” is awkwardly expressed. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “inflencing,” “thorughout,” “maintaining,” “adpat,” and “entreprenaur,” which reduce the polish of the response. Choose precise, natural combinations and proofread spelling; avoid using ambitious vocabulary when a simpler phrase communicates the idea more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the opening sentence beginning “As we age” and the clause “that lead to him being a successful entrepreneur.” Some sentences communicate their main meaning, but control is inconsistent, particularly in longer constructions. For instance, “Change is a constant in everyone's life as the world evolves, our experiences…” joins independent clauses with only a comma, and “Habits are developed at a young age primarily it is said…” lacks clear grammatical separation. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, such as “These kind of people” and “a three-years old child.” Use full stops or suitable conjunctions to separate ideas, check singular and plural forms, and revise long sentences into clearer units.
