Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is very common that when people get older their habits and their opinions often get changed timely. This is natural and I agree with this statement. I will discus some of the reasons behind this notion in the following paragraphs.
The prominent reason of this notion is the expereinece. The more individuals get older the more experience they gain. There are many instances where the older people do not rush toward any task. They genarally, take some time to think, analize and lastly they proceed accordingly. This approach derived from their past experience. Thus, the experience only comes with age. In addition to this, health play significant role to change in habits. For instance , everyone knows smoking is injurious to health but still folks smoke everyday. But once they get older they quit due to the detrimental effects on their health. Therefore, many people change their habits when they get older.
furthermore, it is often seen that older people also have enough time to read books and other informative articles. Subsequently, information also play a cruicial role in lateration of opinions of any individuals. There any several examples, where people say when they were young they had not enough time to read the books and they had different prosepectives. After sometime when they enetered to the golden age and they started reading books, they realized that their opinions were wrong. Resultantly, they change their opinions. Thus, the free time is also play significant role.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that there would be some people who do not change their habits and opinions as they get older. However, it is very common that for poeple
to change both their habits and their opinions as they get older.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions, giving relevant reasons: experience can make people more cautious, health concerns may lead smokers to quit, and reading can alter people’s views. These examples show a sound response to the task. The discussion of habits is somewhat more developed than the discussion of opinions, however; the reading example is general and does not explain what kind of opinion might change or why. To strengthen the response further, extend each reason with a specific, plausible example and explain its connection to ageing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on experience and health, reading and opinions, and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and linking expressions such as “In addition to this,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections feel mechanical, and repeated conclusions such as “Thus” and “Resultantly” do not always add a clear relationship between ideas. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as in “There any several examples,” where the reader must infer what “there” refers to. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make links between each example and its main point more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “experience,” “detrimental effects,” “informative articles,” and “opinions,” and these choices help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: “expereinece,” “genarally,” “lateration,” and “different prosepectives.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “get changed timely” and “the golden age” for older age. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they make parts of it less fluent. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including comparisons (“The more individuals get older the more experience they gain”) and a subordinate clause beginning “when they were young.” The main message is usually understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “health play significant role” needs agreement and an article, while “free time is also play significant role” combines incompatible verb forms. Some punctuation also makes sentence boundaries harder to follow, as in “experience. Thus” and “health.Therefore.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, then review articles and punctuation.
