Student answer (Band 5.5)
Changing habits and opinions as we grow older is very common for people nowadays and is also a part of human nature. In my opinion, I strongly agree to this statement.
To commence with, the first and foremost thing of changing habits is that people grow in different environment and they learn from the people being surrounded by them. For an instance, there is a scientific theory which specifies that a human only needs 21 days to change or to adapt any habits. In addition to this, people will try to change themselves by blindly following what other majority of people are doing.
Furthermore, I believe changing opinions as per situation is a wise decision. As people grow older, their maturity level also increases and their way of looking forward to the things also changes. For an example, there is a huge difference between 20 years old kids opinion and a 30 years old adult. Both will give suggestion based on their maturity level.
To conclude, changing habits as per our surrounding and giving an opinions based on our maturity level is observed in many people and it is human tendency to do so.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people change habits and opinions as they age, and both body paragraphs address these two aspects of the prompt. The examples about adapting habits and differences in judgement between younger and older people are relevant. However, the ideas remain general and are not sufficiently explained or supported; for instance, the claim about needing 21 days to change a habit is mentioned but not connected to a specific example or developed further. The response also does not meet the required minimum of 250 words, which limits how fully you can explain your reasons. Develop each main point with a concrete example and explain how it supports your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on habits and opinions, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the argument, and the reader can follow your main points. However, some transitions feel mechanical, including “To commence with” and “first and foremost,” which overlap in function. Connections within paragraphs could also be clearer: the statement about following what the majority does is not fully linked to the earlier point about learning from one’s environment. Use fewer formulaic transitions and explain the relationship between each supporting example and the main idea to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “human nature,” “maturity level,” and “surrounding,” and your meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “specifies” and “adapt.” However, several expressions are awkward or imprecise, for example “people being surrounded by them,” “looking forward to the things,” and “an opinions.” “For an instance” and “For an example” are also unnatural forms. These choices make the writing less fluent and show that collocation and word forms need more control. Aim for natural combinations such as “people around them,” “perspective on things,” and “give an opinion,” while varying vocabulary accurately rather than relying on formal-sounding phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the clause “As people grow older, their maturity level also increases,” and most sentences communicate the intended meaning. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, plurals, and possessives. For example, “an opinions” has an article–number mismatch, while “20 years old kids opinion” needs clearer plural and possessive forms. In “Both will give suggestion,” the noun should be plural or preceded by an appropriate determiner. The sentence beginning “For an instance” also shows an inaccurate grammatical pattern. Review article use, plural nouns, and possessive forms, then proofread each sentence to improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
