Student answer (Band 6.0)
It can be seen that older people differs in all aspects of life than their younger ones . It is usual that the views and habits of individuals changes with the age . I beileve in most of the cases it changes with time but for few both of these remains constant . This essay will further elaborate my view point.
One of most common factor can be maturity that comes with growing age .To explain, a chilhood mind is limited to play and joy . As soon as a child entered the adulthood a big difference can be seen in regard to habits ,behaviour that makes a person more responisble . For instance , a younger child in the family like to play with friends instead an elder kid likes to help family with house chores .Hence , it all comes with maturity .
Another leading factor can be the life experiences . Life goes step by step with the increasing age. There are a lot of different experiences that comes with age .After schooling pupils go to universities and colleges for higher studies ,where they meet different individuals and experience a new environment . With the increasing number demamds also increases, then it comes to saving the money that they used to spend on toys while being in childhood .Thus,it occurs with different experiences in life .
On the flip side, it is considered few people to be matured from childhood . This can be the case of earlier responsibilities . To expound , in some families youngers have to take care of everthing because of numerous reasons like powerty , larfer families or so .These kinds of children gain maturity before the age . That is why ,their opinion and way of living life remains almost same througout their life .
In conclusion , it can be said that because of family issues some individuals can always have same opinions and habits throughtout rather a drastic change can be seen in views and nature of the people with the growing age.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you agree that habits and opinions often change with age, while acknowledging that some people remain more consistent. The paragraphs on maturity and life experience give relevant reasons, and the examples of children taking on household duties and adults managing money help illustrate your view. This covers the task well. However, the discussion of opinions is less developed than the discussion of habits: most examples concern behaviour and responsibilities, rather than how beliefs or viewpoints change. The final paragraph also introduces early responsibility as an exception, but could explain more directly why it may keep a person’s opinions or habits stable. Developing these points and linking each example explicitly to both parts of the question would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a contrasting paragraph and a conclusion. The progression from maturity to life experience and then to an exception is logical, and signposts such as “For instance,” “On the flip side” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This gives the essay a coherent framework. At times, however, linking feels mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “it all comes with maturity” does not specify exactly which changes “it” refers to. Several sentences also connect ideas loosely, particularly the transition from education to saving money. Use more precise referencing and make the relationship between each example and the main claim explicit to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for discussing development and change, including “maturity,” “life experiences,” “responsibilities” and “environment.” These choices help convey the main ideas, and there are attempts to use more formal expressions such as “To expound.” However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “age,” “different” and “comes,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “younger ones,” “a chilhood mind” and “the increasing number demamds.” Spelling errors such as “beileve,” “responisble” and “throughtout” are also noticeable. Build a more precise vocabulary for changes in beliefs and behaviour, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning “As soon as” and “because of,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is inconsistent: agreement errors occur in “older people differs” and “the views and habits … changes,” while “a younger child … like” also has a subject–verb mismatch. Articles and sentence construction need attention in phrases such as “One of most common factor,” and some clauses are awkwardly formed, as in “it is considered few people to be matured from childhood.” Punctuation spacing and comma use are also uneven. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete clause structure; then proofread articles and punctuation.
