Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is believed for someone that over the years and once people grow op and become older
Usually the people transform their mindset and their actions once their grow up and become older. I totally agree with this behaviour. Being adult means to become more mature by getting more responsabilites, and being more awarness about the importance to be healthy.
Firstly, getting older means to have beaviours more matured. Once the people grow up, they start to have a different mindset, as differents responsabilities are adquired. For example the young people are usually worried about supperficial things including party, travels and alcohol. In contrast the adult people think in their family, their home and their stability. I can evidence that when I compare my brother when he was younger, with nowadays that he has become in father. I can see that he is more serious, responsible and focused in their family.
In addition, when the people is older they have more consious about their healty. Many adults can experiment some illneses, therefore they start to change their healty diet and start to do more excersice, as this is also a suggestion form their doctor. For example my father when he was younger, he never practiced any sport, but now, he weak up early and he goes to the gym.
In conclussion, I firmly belive that over the years, the people tend to change their habits and behaviours, as they become more mature and more focus on what truly is important like their health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your response addresses both the question and the instruction to explain your view: you clearly agree that people change as they age, and you give two relevant reasons—greater responsibility and increased attention to health. The examples about your brother becoming a father and your father starting to exercise help support these points, while the conclusion restates your position. This clear stance and relevant support make the response effective. To strengthen it further, develop the reasoning behind each example more fully. For instance, explain how becoming a parent specifically changes your brother’s priorities, and clarify how health experiences lead adults to alter their routines. Some claims, such as young people being concerned mainly with parties and alcohol, are broad and would benefit from qualification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from maturity and responsibility to health is logical, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” make the organisation easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated references to “when people are older” and similar transitions. Some connections and references are unclear: “I can evidence that when I compare my brother…” is difficult to follow, and “as this is also a suggestion from their doctor” does not clearly identify whose doctor or which suggestion. Use more precise referencing and connect examples directly to the point they illustrate. Varying transitions and avoiding repeated sentence openings would also make the flow smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “mindset,” “responsibilities,” “stability,” “mature,” and “focused.” These choices help distinguish changes in priorities from changes in health habits. However, the range is limited by repeated basic words such as “older,” “change,” and “people,” and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable: “responsabilites,” “superficial,” “conscious,” and “exercise” are misspelled or incorrectly formed in the response. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “think in their family” and “experiment some illnesses.” These errors can make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations for discussing adulthood, priorities, and health.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “as” and a contrast introduced by “In contrast.” The main ideas are usually understandable, but grammatical control is uneven, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to process. For example, “Once the people grow up, they start to have a different mindset, as differents responsabilities are adquired” has problems with article use, agreement, and clause construction. Other examples include “when the people is older,” “he has become in father,” and “he weak up early.” Tense and verb patterns also need attention, particularly when comparing past and present habits. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction, then proofread each sentence to ensure its clauses fit together clearly.
