Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is totally reasonable that when people get older their daily habits and nature also get change over the time. Some experience confusion and memory loss, while others become more irritable and find it difficult to adapt to even minor changes. I fully agree with this statement, and in the following paragraphs, I will explain the reasons behind my opinion.
One of the main reason is physical and mental changes. As a person grew older, they ability to do physical activities became slow and they feel tired even after a small physical activity. Their age factor, affects brain and body which also held responsible for their constant change in behavior. some older adults may experience memory problems, confusion, or difficulty adapting to unfamiliar situations. For instance, an elderly people may forget their scheduled appointment and any new change to routine by family member make them frustrated. Hence, it is evident that older people get annoyed and loss their retaining power easily as compared with their younger version.
Another reason supporting this change is variation in their social circumstances and family neglection. A situation in which family members fail to provide someone with adequate care, attention, emotional support, or assistance. Elderly person feel being alone in the one corner of house during family gatherings or events. To elaborate this, some elderly people suffer from family neglect when their children are too busy with their professional lives. In addition to this, sometimes their family situations get changed such as including their relationships, financial status which also responsible for this cause. Therefore, the above mentioned reasons why elderly people fell isolated.
In conclusion, with age a person become irritable, experience memory loss and fell isolation. However, if proper care and attention is given to them they become more vigilant, clear and happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I fully agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including physical and mental changes and shifts in family circumstances, and the appointment example helps illustrate how routine changes may cause frustration. However, the response focuses mainly on older people’s memory, irritability and isolation, while the question also asks about changes in habits and opinions. The discussion of opinions is largely absent, and the second body paragraph describes family neglect more than explaining how it changes a person’s habits or views. Develop both parts of the prompt more evenly, and explain the links between each example and your overall claim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from age-related changes to social circumstances is easy to follow, and signposts such as “One of the main reason,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This already shows some effective organisation, but cohesion is not consistently smooth. The sentence beginning “A situation in which family members fail…” is a fragment and interrupts the paragraph’s development; it would work better integrated into the preceding sentence. Some links, including “Therefore, the above mentioned reasons why…,” are awkward or unclear. Use referencing and transitions more naturally, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for discussing ageing, including “memory loss,” “emotional support,” “unfamiliar situations” and “financial status.” These choices make the main topic clear, and you attempt more specific expressions such as “family neglect.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning less precise: “their nature also get change,” “family neglection,” “loss their retaining power,” and “fell isolated.” There is also repetition of ideas such as irritability and memory problems without much variation. Aim for accurate, natural combinations—for example, “their behaviour changes,” “family neglect,” and “feel isolated”—and choose vocabulary that directly addresses habits and opinions as well as the effects of ageing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “as” and “when,” and most of the argument remains understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are noticeable. Examples include “their daily habits and nature also get change,” “As a person grew older, they ability… became slow,” and “An elderly people may forget.” The sentence “A situation in which family members fail…” is incomplete, while “Therefore, the above mentioned reasons why…” lacks a complete clause. These issues sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, tense consistency and articles, while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
