Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a highly debatable question among individuals whether people have the same habits and opinions as they grow older or it changes over time. I agree to the notion that it is completely normal for individuals to modify their habits and opinions as they get older.
Firstly, transforming previous habits to the newer version enhances overall human development. What I mean is, as a child, there are plenty habits that should not continue in order to be a mature person in the future. Offsprings usually have habits of chewing their nails, sucking their thumbs, and behaving mischeviously all time. To exemplify, children often ignore their meals, and demand for junk food. This habit is more likely to change as they get older because they think eating excessive junk food will have a negative impact on their health; therefore it considered as a normal modification in every human beings.
Secondly, changing opinions over time is an obvious procedure happens in this world. Majority of time, people think wisely, but the need of improving their thinking day by day is essential. To illustrate, younsters think that materialistic objects bring happiness such as, expensive mobile phones, and gaming laptop whereas, adults tend to save money for their children and for any emergencies. Thus, changing thoughts assist people to navigate their lives.
To encapsulate the main arguments, although some habits provide ease and comfort to everyone, it will alter automatically with the help of wisdom. Some opinions often make individuals' thinking rigid and weak. Newer version brings remakable experience for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that people commonly change their habits and opinions as they age. Both parts of the question are addressed, with relevant examples such as children moving away from junk food and adults prioritising savings and family needs. These examples make the response pertinent, and the conclusion returns to the central idea. However, some reasoning is asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that changing habits “enhances overall human development” could be linked more explicitly to maturity, while the contrast between young people and adults risks generalising about both groups. Develop each example by explaining how age or experience leads to the change, and make the final summary more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for habits and opinions, and a concluding paragraph. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To illustrate” help readers follow the main points, and the examples generally sit with the ideas they support. This gives the response a coherent progression. Some connections, however, feel mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “To exemplify” does not clearly show how the meal example supports the preceding list of childhood habits, and “therefore it considered” leaves the relationship between cause and conclusion difficult to follow. The conclusion also introduces new claims about rigid thinking rather than neatly synthesising the two body paragraphs. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss development and changing attitudes, including “modify,” “materialistic,” “emergencies,” and “navigate their lives.” These choices show an effort to move beyond basic wording, and the intended meaning is generally understandable. However, some less common expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “newer version” for changed habits or opinions, “obvious procedure,” and “remakable experience.” There are also spelling errors, including “mischeviously,” “younsters,” and “remakable,” which reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe habits as “change over time” and opinions as “evolve with experience.” This would make your vocabulary more precise without requiring unnecessarily elaborate wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “as,” “because,” and “although,” and the main message remains understandable. Some sentence patterns are handled successfully, such as the explanation that habits may change “because they think eating excessive junk food will have a negative impact on their health.” However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction remain noticeable. Examples include “whether people have the same habits … or it changes,” “there are plenty habits,” “it considered as,” and “procedure happens.” The final sentence, “Newer version brings…,” also lacks a clear article and has an unclear grammatical relationship to the preceding idea. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and proofread complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and correctly connected.
