Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued by some individuals that it has become common for them to alter their habits and perspectives as they get older. I totally agree with this statement due to several reasons.
To begin with, there are few reasons why people behaviour and opinion changes when they get older. First and foremost, throughout the age, people have more experience and knowledge because they meet number of people who belong to different fields and have different hobbies, so they have an opportunities to know about different things as a result, they have a great knowledge about every field in turn of which when they take any decisions they think many time before taking any actions. Howeevr, when they are adult, they think just about themselves, but when they become older, they think from many perspectives as society, culture and religion.
Moreover, as they become older, they have less energy because they feel tired easily after doing some workout because of their age that is why they do not prefer to play those activties which require to lot of energy. As, when they are teenagers, they prefer to play adventurs sports such as paragliding and parasuits, when they come in older age, they do not think about that sports owing to their health and capabilities. Therefore, they prefer to do soft activities. In additon to it, they have great knowledge throughout the years, if they had wrong habits including wake up late, they give up these bad habits in older age because they have great skills such as puntucal, time manangement and problem solving that is why their habits change according to their growth.
To conclude, habits and opinions are changing throughout their life due to less energy and life experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I totally agree,” and the conclusion restates that habits and opinions change over time. You give relevant reasons, especially increased life experience and reduced energy, and illustrate these with examples such as older people reconsidering decisions and avoiding high-energy sports. This addresses the question, but the two aspects of the prompt are not developed equally: the discussion of changing habits is more concrete, while the explanation of how opinions change remains broad. The claim that adults think only about themselves is also asserted rather than explained or supported. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a specific example and make the link between age and changing opinions more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from experience and opinions to energy and habits, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “To conclude” help the reader follow the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the long sentence beginning “First and foremost” joins several ideas with “because,” “so” and “as a result,” making the reasoning difficult to track. “In turn of which” does not clearly show the relationship between knowledge and decision-making, and “As” at the start of the sports example leaves the sentence awkwardly connected. Use shorter units and clearer references to improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “perspectives,” “capabilities,” “experience” and “problem solving,” and you attempt to express distinctions between high-energy and softer activities. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “older” and “great,” while several choices or collocations are inaccurate: “throughout the age,” “meet number of people,” “soft activities” and “give up these bad habits in older age.” Spelling errors such as “Howeevr,” “activties,” “additon” and “puntucal” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe “low-impact activities” rather than “soft activities,” and use “gain experience” rather than “have more experience” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when” and “if,” so there is some variety. The main ideas are usually understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur across the response. For example, “people behaviour and opinion changes” has problems with possessive form, number and subject–verb agreement; “they have an opportunities” mismatches the article and plural noun; and “when they are adult” needs a plural form. Some sentences are also overloaded, particularly the one beginning “First and foremost,” where several clauses run together and punctuation does not clearly separate the ideas. Practise checking agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, while keeping complex sentences manageable.
