Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is ubiquitous for people to alter both their daily habits and their perspectives as they older. I completely agree with this view, as change is essential not only for personal growth but also for professional development.
One of the main reasons people change their habits and opinions as they get older should be self-improvement. This is because experiences changes people's ideology about their lives. In the past, a large number of individuals used to spent time on activities they enjoy. However, these days people adapt to habits that are entertaining as well as educational. For instance, many young people discover new hobbies with time due to their change in interests and past experiences. As a result, these changes can enable them to become independent and more confident.
Another reason is that change in opinions and habits is ordinary for people who wants to grow professionally. This is largely due to the fact that growth requires change in daily habits. Even a simple change in their daily schedule can develop their learning abilities. For example, employees at workplaces deal with different tasks on a regular basis, these modifications encourage them in improving their professional skills. Furthermore, change is extremely important to prevent unnecassary stress which is caused from repetative work. Consequently, modification in daily tasks enables people to become more responsible.
In conclusion, it is usual for people to change their daily habits and opinions as they get older. I fully agree with this perspective, as it fosters both personal and professional growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and is maintained in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions, linking change to personal and professional growth, and the examples about young people’s hobbies and employees’ tasks are relevant. This meets the task well, with some elements of a more fully developed response. However, the discussion of opinions is less explicit than the discussion of habits: the examples mainly describe changing activities or schedules, rather than showing how someone’s views change with age. The claim that people adapt to activities that are “entertaining as well as educational” is also not clearly connected to getting older. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example that directly demonstrates changing habits and opinions over time.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Ideas generally progress logically, and signposting such as “One of the main reasons,” “Another reason,” and “Consequently” helps readers follow the argument. This is a strong organisational foundation. At times, however, the links between claims and examples are not fully clear. For instance, the example about employees handling different tasks does not directly explain how their opinions change as they age, and the reference to preventing stress appears abruptly. Some linking phrases also make the progression feel formulaic. Make the relationship between each main point and its supporting example more explicit, and use a wider variety of natural transitions and reference words.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary and attempt some less common expressions, including “ubiquitous,” “perspectives,” “self-improvement,” and “professional development.” These choices help communicate the topic, and the meaning is generally clear. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “experiences changes people's ideology,” “used to spent time,” and “stress which is caused from repetitive work.” There are also spelling errors in “unnecassary” and “repetative.” These issues show that ambitious vocabulary is not always controlled precisely. Aim for natural combinations such as “life experiences shape people’s views,” “used to spend time,” and “stress caused by repetitive work,” and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “because,” and “which.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and the overall argument remains easy to understand. Some grammatical errors nevertheless persist. In the opening, “as they older” needs “as they get older”; “experiences changes” has a subject–verb agreement error; and “people who wants” should be “people who want.” The construction “used to spent” should be “used to spend.” There is also a comma splice in “employees at workplaces deal with different tasks on a regular basis, these modifications encourage them…”. Separate these clauses with a full stop or join them using a suitable conjunction. Careful editing of verb forms, agreement, and sentence boundaries would improve accuracy.
