Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argue that it is very general in individuals when they grow older their perspective and lifestyle are changing by the period. I completely agree with this view because when people are getting aged it is common to change their habit and their point of view.

The main reason for this view is that, they do not have responsibility in their life. older people prefer to leave their life in their own way. Moreover, senior citizens prefer natural and peaceful environment. For instance, young people are more passionate about party, clubs and video games and going out with friends. However, adults may greater concentrate about healthy lifestyle , nutrition food and work. therefore, ageing is significant in older individuals life for habits.

Another important point is that, people opinion also changed according to their age. Although, when individuals are young they don't have enough knowledge about life. However, when they are growing older they would how numerous knowledge about lifestyle and opinion. For example, younger people think that high salary is significant in life. However, when they grow older they would realise that family is more important than high pay salary. this shows that life experience impact in people life.

In conclusion, I am completely agree that when people growing older their point of view and habits are change according to time. This is mainly because their responsibilities are increase and their life experience help them to develop.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and conclusion, and both parts of the prompt are addressed: you discuss changing habits and changing opinions. The examples contrasting young people’s interest in parties and games with adults’ focus on health, and the shift from valuing salary to valuing family, are relevant. However, some reasoning is unclear or insufficiently developed. For example, “they do not have responsibility in their life” does not clearly explain why older people change their habits, and the point about experience shaping opinions could be extended with a more specific explanation. The response is also 10 words below the required minimum. Develop the causal links and add a little more relevant support to meet the task fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The examples generally follow the points they illustrate, so the overall progression is understandable. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical: “Moreover,” “However,” and “For example” recur, and several transitions do not express the relationship clearly. In the second body paragraph, “Although” is followed by “However,” creating an awkward contrast, while “this shows” has an unclear reference. Paragraph development would be stronger if each topic sentence were followed by a clear explanation and then a directly connected example. Use linking phrases more selectively and make references explicit to improve the flow between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas about ageing, habits, opinions, work, and family, and phrases such as “life experience” and “healthy lifestyle” are relevant to the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning less clear. Examples include “it is very general in individuals,” “nutrition food,” and “high pay salary.” There is also repetition of “older,” “people,” and “life.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and choose precise expressions rather than translating directly. For instance, “it is common for people” is more natural than “it is very general in individuals,” and “nutritious food” is the appropriate collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including contrast clauses such as “Although, when individuals are young…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “I am completely agree” should be “I completely agree,” and “their habits are change” should be “their habits change.” In “when they are growing older they would how numerous knowledge,” the verb structure is incomplete. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, as in “older people” after a full stop and “therefore” at the start of a sentence. Practise accurate basic clauses before adding more complex structures.
