Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent decades, an increasing proportion of the older population worldwide has chosen to switch their thoughts and feelings over time. I completely agree with this notion as life experience teaches them to reduce the pressure on youngsters with accepting whatever they have in lives.
The primary reason of such evolutions is the development of technology. when older people explore world through newspaper, online websites, and apps such as instagram, facebook and twitters, they acknowledge about the happenings in the world. For example, my grandmother has information about the political parties, and social challenges because she read newspaper everday. Thus, this competative era assist them to change their viewpoints and mindset.
Another possible assumption could be reducing the stress level of the yong generation. Because, they are really busy to make future of the world by working hard, and old people adjust their feeling and habits accordingly children for their comforts zone.
In conlcusion, it is widely spead believe that while getting older, people stopped to excepting and start accepting thie their lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and offer two relevant reasons: technology can expose older people to new information, and they may adapt to reduce pressure on younger family members. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the first reason is explained briefly, while the second is difficult to follow and lacks a specific example. The grandmother example supports access to information, but it does not clearly show how her habits or opinions changed. The conclusion is also unclear about what older people accept or change. The response is 173 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough development to fully answer the question. Explain both habits and opinions with clearer examples and detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and phrases such as “The primary reason” and “Another possible assumption” signal a move to a new point. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the technology paragraph moves from online sources to the grandmother without clearly connecting this information to a change in her views. The second body paragraph begins with “Because,” but does not complete a clear explanation, and the conclusion does not effectively summarise the argument. Some linking is mechanical or unclear. Develop each paragraph around one claim, then connect the example explicitly to that claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “life experience,” “political parties,” “social challenges” and “viewpoints and mindset.” These choices show an effort to discuss changing perspectives, but the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “switch their thoughts and feelings” is not a natural way to describe changing opinions, and “reduce the pressure on youngsters with accepting” is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “competative,” “yong” and “conlcusion.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Using a small range of accurate expressions to describe changing attitudes and adapting habits would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “as life experience teaches them” and a conditional example introduced by “when.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For instance, “when older people explore world” lacks an article, while “this competative era assist them” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “Because, they are really busy” is an incomplete or awkwardly attached clause, and “old people adjust their feeling and habits accordingly children” lacks a clear grammatical connection. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check articles, agreement and clause connections.
