Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Usually, it can be seen that people are changing their habits and their opinions with the time passes, because perspective of watching different things are changed with new experiences. I totally agree with people should change their habits with time. Here, I will discuss my opinions in paragraphs.
People have realised that single income source is not sufficient for the changing economy. Now, many people focus to create a passive income through the stock markets or freelancing rather than rely on traditional income like 10 years ago. I personally try to invest some salery in the stock market to grow money in future because I know, to survive in fluctuated economy, I need to create more income from different sources not only from my primary job.
Another reason is that people were not aware too much about their nutritions due to lack of technology. With upgradtion of the technology, people try to learn more and change their diet habits according to their personal needs which is showing their different approach towards eating habits. For example, I personally use the calorie monitor app to check my calorie intake for fit body. Before, such facilities were not exist, therefore people were unaware about their diet preferences.
Overall, many people are adopting new habits with their present experiences. Also, they are trying to make their lives more comfortable by help of the technology and future trends.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people change their habits as they get older, and you give two relevant reasons—financial pressures and greater access to nutrition information. The personal examples about investing and using a calorie-monitoring app help connect the discussion to experience. However, the task asks about both habits and opinions, while nearly all your development concerns habits; the opening mentions changing perspectives, but this is not explained with a specific example. The reasons are also brief, so the response only partly develops the task. The response is 17 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain your ideas. Develop the opinions aspect and extend each example with a clearer explanation of how change occurs over time.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a concluding paragraph. This makes the main line of thought easy to follow, and phrases such as “Another reason” signal the move to a new point. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. “Here, I will discuss my opinions in paragraphs” announces the structure without adding meaning, while “Overall” introduces a conclusion that mostly repeats the idea of changing habits. The opening sentence is difficult to follow, which weakens the transition into your position. Use clearer links between each reason and the question, and make the conclusion briefly summarise both habits and opinions rather than repeating a general statement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “passive income,” “traditional income,” “changing economy,” “calorie intake,” and “diet habits.” These choices show an attempt to discuss financial and health-related changes specifically. However, several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts of the response sound unnatural, such as “perspective of watching different things,” “focus to create,” “fluctuated economy,” and “upgradtion.” “Salery” is also misspelled, and “nutritions” is not the appropriate form in this context. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary for changing opinions would also help you address the full topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and a time contrast introduced by “Before.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and agreement occur across the response. For example, “with the time passes” does not form a correct time expression, and “such facilities were not exist” combines incompatible verb forms. In “people are changing … with the time passes,” the clause structure is also faulty. Some sentences are long and contain several ideas, making these errors more noticeable. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent verb forms.
