Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that people change their opinions and habits while getting older. I completely agree with this perspective based on the maturity and level of understanding.
First and foremost, taking on adult responsibilities naturally transforms an individual's personal views and daily habits. This is primarily because at young age, children have their freedom and they enjoy their life without any restrictions such as late night parties and hanging out with friends, since they get married, they have to look after their children and family. Consequently, they change their habits about late night parties and starts giving time to their family. For example, a study conducted at University of Tononto found that over 65% of youth have changed their daily habit after getting married as they had to fullfill the responsibilities of their family.
Furthermore, children often start doing the hibits before knowing their consequences. The main rationale behind this is a lack of education at the early age. Children did not have enough knowledge at their early stage of life, as the time passes they gain enough knowledge from their parents, teachers and influencers. To illustrate, a survey was conducted in Delhi. It was noted that 80% of the childrens were suffering from obesity as they were eating junk food. Hence, after the awareness campaign carried out, children came to know about the side effects and they changed their habits of eating too much junk food.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that an individual gets enough experiences and knowledge form their life over the time that force them to change their habits and opinions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: adult responsibilities can alter routines, and greater awareness can change behaviour. The examples about marriage and junk food help illustrate these points, so the response addresses the question. However, the discussion focuses mainly on habits; the task also asks about opinions, and this aspect is only mentioned generally through “maturity and level of understanding.” The first reason could explain more clearly how responsibilities change someone’s views, while the second example supports changing habits rather than opinions. Developing both parts of the question more evenly, with clearer explanation of how experience reshapes beliefs, would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “First and foremost” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from adult responsibilities to increased knowledge, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. Some connections, however, are awkward or unclear. In the first paragraph, “since they get married” does not clearly express the contrast between childhood freedom and adult responsibilities, and the long sentence makes the sequence harder to follow. The conclusion also repeats the main claim without drawing the two reasons together. Use more precise links between cause and result, and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “responsibilities,” “consequences,” and “awareness campaign.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, for example “The main rationale behind this.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision: “at young age,” “gain enough knowledge,” and “changed their habits about late night parties” are not natural formulations. Spelling and word-form errors such as “hibits,” “fullfill,” “childrens,” and “form” are noticeable. These do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but they reduce fluency and control. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “This is primarily because” and “as the time passes.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, and articles remain. For example, “children have their freedom” shifts awkwardly into “since they get married,” while “starts giving time” does not agree with the plural subject “they.” In “children did not have enough knowledge,” the past tense is inconsistent with the general present-tense argument. The sentence beginning “This is primarily because” also runs together several ideas and needs clearer punctuation or division. Practise maintaining consistent tense and subject–verb agreement, and edit long sentences for structure.
