Student answer (Band 5.0)
Habits are the inborn qualities that a person tend to do everyday. It can be a good or bad habit. It is a debatable topic that people change their habits and opinions as they get older. I truly agree with this, people have different mindset and ideas differing their age and culture.
Firstly, a fair section of people believe that yougsters have a mindset of thinking only for now rather than the future. They dreams differ as they grow up. To examplify, when we ask a pupil who is in school about his dream he would say doctor or IAS officer. Later on if you ask the same child about his aim or dream it would be diffrent from the past. Psychologist have also believed that dreams and aim differs from person to person and of diffferent age. Some cultures also have a great impact on these as for hindus they prefer to become a priest, christians become a nun and same goes with some other religion too.
To commence with this, some people doesn't change their dreams and continue to work hard to pursue it from the early age. Their mindset is fixed and nothing can be changed in any situation. They indulge in positive work and relish in whatever they do.Older peoples should also ecourage the yougsters to de independent and responsible.
To conclude, i admit that people should change their habits and indulge in corrective actions.Yougsters should also aim for the better future rather than living in the moment and contribute to the betterment of the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear general position in the introduction (“I truly agree”) and return to the topic in the conclusion. The examples about children’s career ambitions and people maintaining their dreams are relevant to how views may change with age. However, the response only partly develops the question: it focuses mainly on dreams and opinions, while the claim about changing habits receives little explanation or a concrete example. The paragraph beginning “To commence with this” also introduces an opposing case without clarifying how it affects your overall agreement. Some claims, such as religious groups preferring particular roles, are broad and not sufficiently supported. Develop both habits and opinions directly, and explain how each example supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and basic signposts such as “Firstly” and “To conclude” help identify its parts. However, progression between ideas is not consistently clear. The second body paragraph begins “To commence with this,” although it shifts to an exception, and the relationship between that point and your agreement is not explained. Several ideas are crowded together in the first body paragraph, including children’s ambitions, psychologists’ views and religious cultures. Referencing is sometimes unclear, as in “these,” and the conclusion introduces corrective actions without linking them to the earlier discussion. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then develop one idea at a time with clear links.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “mindset,” “pursue,” “responsible” and “contribute to the betterment of society.” These choices show an attempt to discuss personal development and future goals. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “dreams differ as they grow up,” “a fair section of people,” and “indulge in positive work.” Repetition of “dream,” “aim” and “mindset” also limits precision. Spelling errors, including “yougsters,” “diffrent” and “ecourage,” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for precise expressions such as “career aspirations change” and “a considerable number of people,” and proofread carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “when we ask a pupil…” and a contrast with “rather than.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “a person tend” instead of “a person tends,” “They dreams differ,” and “some people doesn’t change.” There are also problems with articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “a good or bad habit. It” and “Older peoples.” Capitalisation is inconsistent, including “i” and “hindus.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement, sentence boundaries and punctuation, and build accurate complex sentences before adding further clauses.
