Student answer (Band 6.0)
Human getting mature when they get older is a common behaviour we see. People change their habits and opinions about different issues or matters as they get older. I strongly agree with this common nature. People tends to adopt their habits and opinions according to their age.
Firstly, when someone getting old means he has been gone through different phases of life and faces many challenges in their life. they learn about their on going habits are good for themselves or not. when they find out its not, they changed it and adopt new one. For example, it is commonly seen that waking up till late night and watching shows or using internet is common habit for teenagers. But when they hit the certain age they feel bad about it and they learn how can it may effect their health and their capabilities of learning and creativity, thus they change this to early to bad early to rise.
Secondly, when people are young they have unique opinions about their beliefs and idol, they strongly stick to it. They can argue with you to prove their point. But after getting old and seeing the reality of their idol and beliefs, they change their opinion about them. For Instance, young people make idol to any political leader and follows their path. but after the years passed and they found out about the leader is not capable of doing what they belief or what is right so they change their opinions about them.
Apart from this there are also some people who stick to their habits and opinion in their old age. They thinks that change could effect their years of belief. Like People follows the same leader or same habits for years nothing can change them and they stood strong to their habits and belief.
In conclusion, habits and opinions get changes when people getting older. its a common practice of life we have to see this change in a positive way and appricate the changes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that people’s habits and opinions change with age. You address both parts of the topic, giving one paragraph about habits and another about opinions, with relevant examples involving teenagers’ routines and changing views of political leaders. The counterpoint about people who remain attached to old habits adds some balance. However, several claims are broad, and the examples are hypothetical rather than developed with specific detail. The final paragraph also introduces a positive view of change without explaining why it is beneficial. To strengthen the response, extend each example by showing more clearly what changes and what experience prompts that change.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two main reasons, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. The sequence from changing habits to changing opinions is logical, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. At times, however, the linking is mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “they change this” does not specify exactly what “this” refers to. The counterpoint paragraph is relevant but its connection to the main position could be made more explicit. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make links between claims and examples clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “habits,” “opinions,” “beliefs,” “challenges,” and “political leader.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “phases of life” and “capabilities of learning and creativity.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “Human getting mature,” “adopt their habits,” and “change this to early to bad early to rise.” Spelling and word forms also need attention, as in “appricate” and “idol” where “idols” is intended. Build a bank of natural collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “but,” and “after,” so there is some variety in structure. The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors occur frequently and can make parts difficult to follow. For example, “People tends” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “when someone getting old means he has been gone through” has problems with clause structure and verb forms. Tense and agreement are also inconsistent in “they changed it” and “They thinks.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries need more consistent control, particularly after full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed subordinate clause before adding complexity.
