Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this era, older people change their mindset as they get older, so it is very common nowadays. so , i am totally agree with this statement. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will write my opinion and examples.

In the first paragraph, their priorities change. As they are old their priorites are cahnge because they want to stay at home rather than going outside, and they also want to do home chores rather than working outside . Secondly, they prefer to eat homemade food rather than fast food and also want to spend time with their family members. For example, My grandfather always wants to stay home because he always wants to rest and if he go outside his health will get worse so he will suffer from many health isuues like diabetes and fever as well as Covid.

Thirdly, people develop their opinions and habits as they have lots of experience in their life. They have plenty of experience regarding marriages, lifestyles, work, and parenting, due to which their way of thinking is also changes. They become more responsible for their life . And They want to teach their children about ups and downs. and also they know the value of time, money and relationships. For example, A young person may believe that money is more important than family but later realize that relationships and happiness are more important.

Lastly, they change habits by less using of screen time and by doing more physical activities. For Example, when people are old, they dont like to use mobile phones as they think they can suffer from health isuues like eyesight problems and obesity. As well as, they prefer to do more exercise like walking, laughing, yoga and meditation. so they can enjoy life better and heal their lives.

In Conclusion, i think people change their life habits and opinions as they grow because they are more valuable for their lives and they have more experience and paitents in life so according to their right decission they can change their thoughts and habits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that people change their habits and opinions as they age, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both parts of the question, discussing changing routines such as eating and exercise as well as changing priorities and beliefs. The examples of your grandfather and a young person rethinking the importance of money help illustrate your points. The response is relevant and its ideas are generally extended, which supports this level. However, some claims are broad—for example, that older people avoid going outside or use screens less—and the first example focuses more on health limitations than on a deliberate change in habits. Explain more precisely how age or experience leads to these changes, and qualify generalisations where they may not apply to everyone.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from changing priorities to experience and then to health-related habits. Examples are placed near the points they support, helping the reader follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: repeated sequencing words such as “Secondly,” “Thirdly” and “Lastly” do much of the linking, while “And,” “and also” and “As well as” are not always used smoothly. Some references are unclear, particularly “they are more valuable for their lives” in the conclusion. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to its main point; vary linking methods and check that pronouns and concluding references have an unmistakable meaning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas about priorities, experience, family, health and lifestyle. Phrases such as “ups and downs,” “value of time, money and relationships” and “physical activities” show some range beyond very basic wording. However, the vocabulary is often repetitive, especially “change,” “want” and “health issues,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or imprecise. For instance, “their priorites are cahnge” and “more valuable for their lives” make the intended meaning less natural, while “laughing” is an unclear choice in the list of activities. Spelling errors such as “paitents” and “decission” are also noticeable. Build a more precise range for describing ageing and changing priorities, and proofread spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “as” and “due to which,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. Examples include “I am totally agree,” “their way of thinking is also changes,” and “if he go outside,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “so , i am…” begins with an unnecessary full stop and comma, and several sentences start with lowercase “and” or “so.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, even though the main message can generally be followed. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then break long sentences into clearer units and check capitalization and punctuation.
