Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, the topic of individuals alter their lifestyle and perspective when they are getting older has become a major discussion among many people. In my opinion, I completely agree with this idea because human being growing old and changing their mind and not younger anymore.

On the one hand, the main reason why i support this view is because people will change their mind and thinking. For instance, as well as habits and routine and bahaviour transform because of their getting older. Like before they want to go to many places and traveling around the world and they are active to any activities when their still young. Furtheremore, before they want to travel but when the time at the age of 30 everything of both habits and opinion and dreams in life will change because they want something new for their lifestyle.

On the other hand, the poeple who truly transform their perspective is they want to get their dreams like to buy a new house, car, savings money, relaxation, planting trees, stay at home togethere with their families. That is the reason why individuals who getting older and they are changes thinking in life. Moreover, many people just want to stay at home and to do something household and mostly olders are making some businesses at home. For example. making business like farm, poultry, piggery, planting plans and their are happy to do like that and selling what they are achive.

In conclusion, I believe that the people who getting older is transform their perspective in life and changing mindset, either good or bad the individuals will change in the future when they get older.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that people change as they age, and you give relevant examples involving travel, family life, and home-based activities. These examples show an attempt to explain both changing habits and changing priorities. However, the response only partly develops the task. The opening reason—people change because they are “not younger anymore”—largely repeats the prompt rather than explaining the process, and the examples are listed more than explored. The discussion also shifts between habits, opinions, dreams, and goals without clearly showing how these changes relate. To strengthen the response, explain why age or life circumstances lead to a particular change, and develop one or two examples with clearer detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic sense of organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is not always clear: the first body paragraph moves from travel to age 30 and then to new lifestyle goals without explaining the links. Several ideas are presented as lists, particularly the examples of goals and home businesses, rather than being connected into a developed argument. Some linking phrases, such as “Moreover” and “That is the reason,” are used, but they do not always clarify the relationship between ideas. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “lifestyle,” “perspective,” “routine,” “dreams,” and “families.” This gives you a basic range for discussing changes with age. However, vocabulary is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “active to any activities,” “savings money,” and “selling what they are achive.” Repetition of “change,” “people,” and “older” also limits flexibility. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “bahaviour,” “Furtheremore,” and “together.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for describing changing priorities and routines, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help your examples communicate their intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “who,” but control is limited, and many sentences contain errors that make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “human being growing old and changing their mind” lacks a finite verb, while “the people who truly transform their perspective is they want” has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement. Verb forms and agreement are also inconsistent in “individuals who getting older and they are changes thinking.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, as in “For example. making business…” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause. Check that every sentence has a subject and a correctly formed verb.
