Student answer (Band 4.0)

As a human bieng People have their own habits and opinions, and it will change as they get older. I belive it will change day by day with generations.

Firstly, I like to say this change is very common for all because change is part of our life. In past years individuals are woke up early and brushed their teeth outside the house, however now it is not posible due to high profile society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a general position in “I believe it will change,” and your example about people’s routines in the past compared with today is relevant to changing habits. However, the response only begins to address the question: it does not explain how opinions change, and the example is not developed enough to show why people change as they age. The phrase “with generations” also shifts attention from individuals growing older to differences between generations. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, so there is not enough explanation, support, or relevant personal experience to address the task fully. Develop a clear agree/disagree position and support it with separate reasons and specific examples about both habits and opinions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening statement is followed by a paragraph introduced with “Firstly,” and “however” signals a contrast between past and present. These markers help the reader identify the intended relationship between ideas. However, the response ends before a clear progression or conclusion is established, and the connection between changing with age and the example of past versus present routines is not explained. The opening also combines several ideas without showing how they relate. To improve, use a clear introduction stating your position, then organise each reason into a paragraph with an explanation and example, followed by a brief conclusion. Make sure linking words express relationships that are clear from the ideas themselves.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “habits,” “opinions,” “change,” and “individuals,” and “high profile society” appears to be an attempt to describe modern social conditions. However, the range is narrow and several choices are unclear or unnatural, which limits precision. For example, “change day by day with generations” does not clearly express whether you mean people change as they age or that different generations behave differently. “High profile society” is also not an established way to describe contemporary life in this context. Spelling errors such as “bieng,” “belive,” and “posible” further reduce accuracy. Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling; choose phrases that clearly express the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate some basic ideas using simple clauses, and the sentence beginning “In past years” attempts to combine a past situation with a contrast using “however.” There is also an attempt at a complex sentence in “it will change as they get older.” However, control of sentence boundaries, verb forms, and articles is inconsistent. For example, “As a human bieng People” needs punctuation and a clear sentence structure, while “In past years individuals are woke up” mixes an incorrect verb form with a past-time reference. The opening also shifts from plural “people” to singular “it.” Practise forming complete sentences, keeping subjects and verbs in agreement, and matching verb tense to time references. Use commas and full stops to separate ideas clearly.
