Student answer (Band 5.0)
Individuals often change their habits and their thoughts when they get older. I agree with this statement because of some responsibilities and life experiences becomes very important to think about these things. Which i will discuss properly in upcoming paragraphs.
In the first place, people likes change habits or point of views because it totally depends on living of styles when they get older. In the elders life the way of lifestyle becomes different because of eating habits, they like to do more focus on their health to get healthy lifestyle. For example, they started the exercises or some yoga classes. Some people becomes very good reader and writer instead of spending their time on mobile devices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people change as they age, and you give relevant examples such as exercising, sleeping earlier, reading more, and becoming more responsible for children. However, the response addresses the task only partially. The first body paragraph focuses mainly on habits, while the discussion of changing opinions is brief and does not explain clearly how experiences alter a person’s views. The final point about responsibilities is also unfinished, so the reasons are not sufficiently developed or supported. In addition, the response contains 188 words, which is below the required 250. To strengthen the answer, explain one or two changes in opinions in detail and complete the discussion with a conclusion that restates your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: you state your view in the introduction and use “In the first place” and “Secondly” to introduce two areas of discussion. The examples in the first body paragraph generally relate to changing habits. However, progression is limited because the second paragraph ends abruptly, and there is no conclusion to bring the argument together. Some linking is mechanical, and sentence boundaries are unclear in places, such as “Which i will discuss properly in upcoming paragraphs” and “Because of previous years life experiences…”. Use complete paragraphs with a clear main point, explanation, and example, then add a concluding paragraph. More precise referencing and transitions would also help readers follow how life experience leads to changed opinions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of relevant vocabulary, including “responsibilities,” “life experiences,” “healthy lifestyle,” and “expectations,” which helps communicate the general topic. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, particularly around “habits,” “lifestyle,” and “thoughts.” Several phrases are unnatural or unclear, such as “living of styles,” “do more focus on their health,” and “enjoy the mornings with nature.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “famili” and “childrens,” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn natural collocations and use more precise terms for changes in beliefs and priorities. For example, describe people as adopting healthier routines or becoming more cautious, rather than relying on broad phrases such as “their thoughts are different.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentence forms, including explanations introduced by “because,” but the range is limited and these attempts are often faulty. Subject–verb agreement errors occur in “people likes” and “some people becomes”; the opening also has a faulty verb pattern in “responsibilities and life experiences becomes very important.” Sentence fragments appear in “Which i will discuss…” and “Because of previous years life experiences…”. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation, for example “they” after a full stop and “Their” mid-paragraph. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although,” and “as a result.”
