Student answer (Band 5.5)
As time goes by many people can change their habits when they get older also the opinions that they have. There are times that many individual change their habits and opinions because of their health and lifestyle they have so that I agree most of it.
Having their habits change quite a bit when they are keeping getting older because of the health they have rather than taking to much food of fast food they would only eat healthier food now. By making their lives healthy also their keept they opinions changed because of getting wiser where they experience life they had been doing for almost everyday.
Another reason of is their lifestyle where they live at, what they have been doing for a couple of years. Most people that I know are much more actve at their lifestyle that made me realize a big impact to it so that many people can live longer. For example my grandparents who rarely go out and have fun but they live at a farm where most of the time they always taking care of the crops and animals that made their body accustom to it and made much more stronger as time flew by. They wanted to be free and contented on what they have so having this mindset made them a great example of being a person.
In conclusion, I agree that it changes day by day the habits and their opinions where they get old enough; it made them wiser, stronger, reliable at all times. where they had experience different hardships and the path they had taken when they are younger.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people’s habits and opinions change as they age, and you give relevant reasons involving health, lifestyle and experience. The example of your grandparents working on a farm helps illustrate how daily routines can affect physical strength and longevity. However, the discussion of changing opinions is less fully developed than the discussion of habits. The sentence about becoming “wiser” mentions experience but does not explain what kinds of experiences lead people to revise their views. The point about wanting to be “free and contented” is also not clearly connected to the question. To strengthen the response, explain each reason more directly and add a specific example of an opinion that changed with age.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly group related ideas, and phrases such as “Another reason” and “For example” help signal development. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined without clear links. For instance, the second paragraph moves from healthier eating to opinions becoming wiser without explaining the connection. The conclusion also combines several claims in a long, awkward sequence, and the final “where” does not clearly refer to a specific idea. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one main point at a time, and make references explicit so the reader can follow how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “healthier food,” “lifestyle,” “experience,” and “contented,” and the farm example gives you opportunities to describe routines and ageing. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “keeping getting older,” “actve at their lifestyle,” and “made their body accustom to it.” Spelling errors such as “actve” and “keept” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing ageing, habits and changing beliefs, and check spelling and natural word combinations. For example, describe people as “becoming more physically active” rather than “more active at their lifestyle.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “where” and “that.” This shows an effort to explain causes and give examples. However, some sentence structures are incomplete or difficult to control. The opening sentence lacks clear punctuation between its ideas, while “There are times that many individual change” has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement. In “they live at a farm … they always taking care,” the verb forms and sentence connection are not controlled. The conclusion also contains a sentence fragment after “at all times.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; review agreement, verb forms and punctuation, especially when joining several ideas.
