Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is broadly clear: you agree that people change as they grow older, and your personal experience of starting at the gym and changing your diet gives the response relevant support. You also mention physical and mental health, which connects to changing habits. However, the discussion focuses mainly on lifestyle and habits; the task also asks about changing opinions, and this part is not really explained. Several points, such as “new doors or new opportunities” and the advice to avoid negative outcomes, are asserted rather than developed with a clear example or explanation. To strengthen the response, state your view directly in an introduction, address both habits and opinions, and develop each reason with a specific example and a clear link to ageing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response contains relevant ideas, including your gym experience, healthier eating, and the benefits of nature, but they are presented as one long block with little visible organisation. The opening gives a general opinion, then the discussion moves rapidly between gym-goers, personal transformation, health advice, and processed food without clear stages. Linking phrases such as “because” and “as we grow older” are attempted, but the relationships between ideas are often difficult to follow, and “every people” is repeated without clear referencing. Use separate paragraphs for your position, reasons and examples, and conclusion. Shorter sentences and clear transitions such as “Another reason” or “For example” would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “beginner,” “physique goal,” “opportunities,” “mental and physical health,” and “processed food.” These choices help communicate your personal experience and your view about healthier habits. However, the range is uneven, with repeated general words such as “change,” “life,” and “people,” and some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, for example “local gym builders” and “silent battles in life.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “pysique,” “becuase,” and “protien,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and vary repeated vocabulary; proofreading spelling and choosing expressions that clearly convey your intended meaning would make the message more effective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas using clauses and reasons, as in “because if you change your life,” and you use some simple statements to express your opinion. However, sentence structures are limited, and the long, heavily joined sentences often contain several grammatical problems that make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “it's very common to people to change” and “every people that i see,” where the sentence patterns and agreement are faulty. Verb forms and agreement also need attention in “new opportunities has coming” and “i agreed to people want change.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly the lowercase “i” and the lack of sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time.
