Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is true that people often change their habits and opinions as they get older. I completely agree with this statement because with time and experiences people change their priorities and opinions.
To begin with, many people change their habits as they get older. Earlier when people are young spend a lot of time with friends and often party with them. During that party it is common for them to consume alcohol or smoke. After a certain time they would realize that these habits are not healthy and damaging their internal organs. With age people become aware of their daily routines and habits and like embrace to change in their daily unhealthy routines. Therefore, people will start going to gym or yoga classes to adopt healthy lifestyle.
Moreover, at a young age people do not have abundant of experience to think, react and make wise decisions of their life. This develop with ups and downs from different situations of life that teach us or change the perspectives about several things. For example, during college time we often choose friends over family. However, after marriage those same individuals realize the importance of family. Suddenly, family and children become a priority over friends. At a young age people feel more independent and take decisions for themselves only whereas after marriage responsibility come into life and decisions are made according to family's requirements.
To conclude, I strongly agree that people's habits and perspectives get change as they age. It is because of the time and experiences of their lives that change their mindsets. I believe it is a part of a growth of human beings and a way to embrace their personalities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions, supporting the first with examples of changing from smoking or drinking to healthier routines, and the second with changing priorities after marriage. These examples are relevant and the explanation of how experience influences decisions gives the response a clear line of argument. To strengthen the development further, explain more precisely why age or experience prompts these changes, rather than presenting them as typical outcomes for everyone. The claim that people “often party” when young and that family becomes a priority after marriage is somewhat generalised; a more specific personal or observed example would make the support more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs addressing habits and opinions, and a conclusion. The progression from lifestyle changes to changing priorities is logical, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent arrangement and shows some features of stronger progression. However, cohesion is occasionally mechanical because paragraphs rely heavily on explicit transition phrases and repeated references to age and change. Some links between sentences are also abrupt—for example, the move from unhealthy habits to going to the gym. Use more varied referencing and explain the cause-and-effect link between examples so that connections feel more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss the topic, including “priorities,” “perspectives,” “responsibility,” and “healthy lifestyle.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “ups and downs” help convey the role of life experience. There are also attempts at more specific language, but some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “abundant of experience,” “embrace to change,” and “internal organs.” Repetition of “change,” “habits,” and “people” also limits flexibility. Aim to use more precise collocations and vary key terms—for instance, describe people as “adopting healthier routines” and say that experience “shapes their outlook.” These refinements would make the argument sound more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “whereas,” and “that,” and the overall meaning is generally clear. However, some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences awkward. For example, “Earlier when people are young spend” is missing a subject, while “This develop” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “responsibility come into life,” the verb does not agree with its subject, and “people's habits and perspectives get change” uses an incorrect verb construction. There are also issues with articles and sentence formation. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, and revise complex sentences to ensure their clauses are complete.
