Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many individuals alter their habits and opinions with advancing age. There are many reasons for this circumstance. In my opinion, it is true that some people change their routine and prespective when they get old. This following essay will include the reasons behind this context.

To begin with, people experience many incidents throughout their whole life and from that they try to gain some knowledge. According to that they chnage their habits. To explain this, many persons do not have any ideas about investing money in the childhood; now, as they grow they start learning about this and they cultivate the new habit. As a reasult of this, they make strong and solid financial background for them and their upcoming generations.

Humans become more mature and responsible in the older age. The main reason for this notion is they have been through a lot in the life and they become wise. As a consequence their opinion about so many things change. For instance, in the adulthood, ind

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a relevant position, stating that people do change their routines and perspectives as they grow older, and you give two plausible reasons: life experience and increased maturity. The examples about learning to invest and building financial security help connect your ideas to the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the second example is cut off at “in the adulthood, ind”, and the discussion does not fully explain how opinions change or provide a complete conclusion. The response is also 85 words below the required minimum, which leaves your reasons substantially under-developed. To strengthen the answer, complete both examples, explain the link between experience and changing opinions, and add a clear concluding statement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: an opening introduces your view, followed by separate paragraphs about learning from experience and becoming more mature. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “As a consequence,” and “For instance” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the introduction repeats the topic without clearly previewing the argument, and the final paragraph ends mid-sentence. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, as in “According to that” and “As a reasult of this,” where the relationship between ideas could be expressed more directly. Use a clearer sequence—position, reason, explanation and example in each body paragraph—and finish with a conclusion. Check spacing and punctuation around sentence boundaries as well.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “investing money,” “mature,” “responsible,” and “financial background,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “with advancing age” and “As a consequence.” However, some choices are unnatural or imprecise: “this circumstance,” “this context,” and “strong and solid financial background” do not express the ideas as naturally as they could. Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “chnage,” and “reasult” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and proofread carefully; for example, use “financial security” rather than “financial background.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “people experience many incidents throughout their whole life and from that they try to gain some knowledge” and a cause-and-effect structure beginning “The main reason for this notion is…”. The central meaning is usually recoverable, but control is uneven. For example, “The main reason for this notion is they have been through…” needs a grammatical link such as “that,” while “their opinion about so many things change” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening also contains a run-on boundary in “circumstance. In my opinion,” and the final sentence is incomplete. Build accuracy by checking clause connections, agreement, and sentence boundaries, then ensure every sentence is complete.
