Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You express a relevant concern that social media influences younger people’s habits, and you suggest that older people’s habits may be worth following. However, the response does not clearly answer whether you agree or disagree with the statement about people changing both habits and opinions as they age. Most of the discussion focuses on younger generations and social media, while changes in opinions and the effect of getting older are not explained. The claim that young people may not be successful if they do not follow older people’s habits is also unsupported. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, so there is not enough development, reasoning, or relevant example to address the task adequately. State your position directly and support it with developed reasons and an example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to connect ideas: you introduce younger generations, explain that social media exposes them to other people’s habits, and then describe a possible effect on their routines. Words such as “because,” “so,” and “that is the main problem” show an effort to signal relationships. However, the response is presented as one continuous block, with no clear paragraph structure or overall progression. Several connections are difficult to follow, particularly “because older people does not have social media that time they were spending the all time both of them.” Repeated references to “new generation” also make the development feel circular rather than progressive. Organise the answer into an introduction, separate reason paragraphs, and a conclusion; use clear links to show how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media,” “daily routine,” “habits,” and “successful,” so the general subject can be identified. There is also an attempt to express cause and consequence through phrases such as “the main problem” and “one reason.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “new generation,” “habits,” and “social media” carrying much of the response. Frequent spelling errors, including “genration,” “ratherthen,” “dangers,” and “succsesfull,” make the writing harder to read. Some expressions are also unclear or unnatural, such as “a lot of kind social media” and “change the ourself habits.” Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to form longer sentences using cause-and-effect links, for example, “because older people does not have social media” and “if they will not follow the old people habbit then they will not succsesfull.” These attempts show some awareness of how to connect clauses. However, sentence structures are mostly simple or joined without reliable control, and errors in agreement and verb forms are frequent: “people does not” should be “people did not,” while “they will not successful” needs a verb such as “be.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing, and the final ideas run together. These problems sometimes obscure the intended meaning. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation.
