Student answer (Band 5.5)
Welcoming a change in life and thought pattern is extensively difficult process as person moves forward in the life their habbits become addiction. However, some proportion of the society believe that way of thinking and habbits usually change when people get older. According to my opinion, the ground reality is opposite to this statement.
Discussing about the concept of psychological state, the way the thoughts are processed in the brain is a practice. When the brain is trained to take the particular thing in a particular manner it is near to impossible to reverse it. Everyone is familiar with the impacts of positive thinking however, only a few could direct their thought towards optimism. For instance, a person in his fifty's get to know about the power of optimistic thinking and want to imply in life, but he failed to practice it when he encoutered loss in business. Therefore, processing of situations is a training which initiates since birth.
Moving towards habbits, these gradually becomes a part of the person's personality. The person who smokes is called a smoker. Similarly, there are readers, listeners, imaging obeservors. At initial stage, out of peer pressure or own will people develops all these habbits which shapes into an addiction by the passing of time. For example, children who started taking drugs at teenage would probably live on drugs as their body is addicted to it until or unless the required interventions are not taken place during the childhood. Furthermore, whatever the person acquires by constant practice stays with them life-long. Especially, during young age the person has an entire control to shape the mind the way they want but after a certain age the body and mind survives on initial practices.
Overall, as person grow older in life their curosity to learn new things diminished similarly their will power to amend any changes in their lifestyle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree that habits and opinions commonly change with age, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons. The discussion of thought patterns explains how repeated ways of thinking become established, while the smoking and drug examples support your point about habits becoming entrenched. This addresses the task, but the two parts are not equally developed. The first example about a man who cannot practise optimism after a business loss is difficult to follow and does not fully show why age prevents change. The conclusion also makes a broad claim about curiosity and willpower without explaining it. Develop the examples more precisely and acknowledge that some people do change, while clarifying why you believe this is less common.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss opinions and habits, and a final paragraph restates the position. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Therefore,” and “Furthermore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “Discussing about the concept” does not lead smoothly into the explanation, and the shift from smoking to readers, listeners, and observers makes the paragraph’s focus less precise. The final paragraph is very brief and introduces curiosity and willpower without linking them clearly to the earlier examples. Use clearer topic sentences, make each example directly support its paragraph’s main claim, and build a conclusion that synthesises the two arguments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “psychological state,” “optimistic thinking,” “peer pressure,” “addiction,” and “constant practice.” These choices show an effort to discuss abstract ideas as well as habits. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling sometimes make the meaning less natural or precise. For example, “habbits” is repeatedly misspelled, “imaging obeservors” is unclear, and “imply in life” does not express the intended meaning. Phrases such as “ground reality” and “survives on initial practices” also sound unnatural in this context. Aim for accurate, conventional combinations and check spelling carefully; a smaller number of precise expressions will communicate your ideas more effectively than ambitious but unclear wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “When,” “however,” and “as,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless occur across the response. For example, “as person moves forward in the life” has article and phrasing problems, while “these gradually becomes” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “a person in his fifty's get to know,” the verb form and sentence construction are inaccurate; “children who started taking drugs … would probably live” also shifts awkwardly between tenses. Several long sentences combine multiple ideas without clear punctuation, particularly the final sentence of the habits paragraph. Review articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, then proofread complex sentences for clarity.
