Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is true that people often change their habits and opinion as they get older.I completely agree with this statement because life experiences and responsibilities
change our way og thinking.
Firstly, people's habits change as they grow older. when we are young ,we have unhealthy habits, such as eating junk food, staying up late, and spending a lot of time on social media. But when we get older and become more resposible,we adopt healthier habits. For example, when I was a young girl ,I used to eat a lot of fast food and sleep late. But now ,as a housewife and a mother, I wake up early,I cook healthy food for my family, and I try to sleep on time.My daily routine has completely changed because my responsibilities have changed. this is very commonfor adults.
Secondly .opinion also change with age. When people are young ,they are idealistic and emotional. They have strong opinions about politics or fashion. But with age and experience ,they become more practical and mature. For instance, when I was younger ,I thought money was not important and only love matters. Now ,after managing a hosehold and facing inflation ,I understand that financial stability is also very important for a happy family. We learn from our mistakes and our parents'advice,so our views become more balanced.
In conclusion ,I agree that getting older naturally changes our habits and opinions. This happens because of increased responsibilities, life experiences, and maturity. It is a normal and positive part og human life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions, supporting each with relevant personal examples: changing your diet and routine, and revising your view of money after managing a household. These examples make the response specific and answer the question directly. However, the explanation of how opinions change is less developed than the habits example, and claims such as young people being “idealistic and emotional” are broad rather than qualified. The response also falls 14 words short of the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, extend the second example with a clearer explanation of what experience changed your view and ensure the response meets the stated length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs on habits and opinions, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, while the personal examples are placed in the relevant paragraphs. This coherent structure is a strength. Some linking is mechanical, however, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent—for example, “Secondly .opinion also change with age.” The shift from general statements to personal experience is understandable, but the links between claims and explanations could be smoother. Use a wider range of natural connections, and make each paragraph develop its main point step by step rather than relying mainly on sequencing words.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “responsibilities,” “financial stability,” “mature,” and “balanced.” The personal examples also help make your meaning clear. However, the range is limited in places, and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “resposible,” “hosehold,” and “og” appear in the response, while “opinion also change” is not an accurate expression. Phrases such as “healthy habits” and “very important” are understandable but general. Aim to check spelling carefully and choose more precise collocations, such as “views change with age” and “maintain a balanced diet.” This would make the vocabulary more accurate and flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause (“because life experiences and responsibilities change our way of thinking”) and a contrast between earlier and current beliefs. Most ideas remain understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. For example, “opinion also change” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “only love matters” does not fit smoothly with the past-time framing. There are also errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the run-on transition after “changed” and the lower-case “this” beginning a sentence. Review agreement, tense consistency, and sentence punctuation. More accurate control of these forms, alongside your existing sentence variety, would make the response easier to read.
