Student answer (Band 5.5)

As people get older, their habits and opinions can change. In my opinion, I agree with the sentence that with age, people's habits and views will change.

Pupils are learning many different things over time. They meet various kind of people in society and learn many different things from them. People not only learn, but also apply those things in their daily routine. Once it becomes their daily routine the way of doing things will change over time. For example, when a person is young his/her focus is more on living the life without any responsibilities, but when the person becomes bit older his habits changes as he/she has more responsibilities to handle.

Furthermore, life teaches a valuable lesson over time. People go through various stages in life and learn incredible things from it. In addition to that, pupil accumulate knowledge and real-world experience. In young age person easy get influenced by social media, but with time as poeple get old he/she use its intelligency to do things.

Conversly, with old age people get more stubborn. The tendency to change with world becomes very less. Thus, the experience and knowledge they have no one can neglet it.

In conclusion, it is very common that with increasing age perosn's tendency and view will chnage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you agree that people’s habits and opinions change with age, and you give relevant reasons involving responsibility, learning and life experience. The example contrasting a young person’s freedom with an older person’s responsibilities helps illustrate a change in habits. However, the discussion of opinions is less fully explained, and the point that older people may become “more stubborn” is introduced without a clear example or explanation of how it relates to your overall view. The conclusion mainly repeats the opening. The response also falls short of the required 250 words, so there is limited space to develop and support your ideas. Extend each main point with a specific example and explain how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on related ideas, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between sections. However, progression is not always clear: the paragraph beginning “Conversly” shifts to stubbornness without showing how this qualifies or contrasts with the earlier argument. Some links between sentences are also vague, as in “Once it becomes their daily routine the way of doing things will change over time.” The repeated references to learning and experience could be organised into a clearer sequence, with each paragraph developing one distinct reason. Use linking phrases to show the relationship between ideas, not simply to announce a new paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “responsibilities,” “daily routine,” “stages in life” and “real-world experience.” These phrases help communicate your main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “various kind of people,” “use its intelligency,” and “neglet it”; spelling errors such as “Conversly,” “perosn's” and “chnage” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. You could also vary repeated general words such as “things” and “change” with more specific terms, for example, “attitudes,” “adapt” or “develop,” where they fit the meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “but” and a time clause beginning “when.” The main message is usually understandable, but errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “his habits changes” should use a plural verb, while “when the person becomes bit older” needs an article before “bit.” In “In young age person easy get influenced,” several grammatical elements are missing, making the sentence difficult to process. The final sentence also has an unclear structure. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and articles. More reliable control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
