Student answer (Band 5.0)
From psychological perspectives, it is too normal for everyone to change their all habits and their opinions as they get older. I partially agree to this statement because the advantages and reasons to change their habits or opinion as they get older outweigh the disadvantages and irrationality.
In tiny age, every people with their own cognition makes their decisions. For instance, a child thought this moon moves forward with us, when we are travelling according to their cognition and perspectives. But when they get older they studied and research about moon moving mystery, it can change their whole cognition. Like this, every people when they are young had their own cognition and perception. But when they get older, they interact with everything in the world and get in touch with nature and change their opinions and habits too. By means of age, they get experience and it is too normal to change opinions and habits by perception and cognition. It can creates decision making ability and promotes problem solving ability as well.
There are some people who cannot change their habits and opinion over age because they are mentally sick i.e. a 65 years old man wants to play cricket with childrens, This is not just because of mental illness, also of environment, because they cannot adopt that environment of changing their habits of not playing with childrens and opinions too.
In conclusion, it is too normal for people to change their habits and opinions as they get older because they become experienced by age. And this change all bad habits of people too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is stated in the introduction: you partially agree that people change with age, and the response stays focused on habits and opinions. The example of a child’s understanding of the moon gives a relevant reason for changing opinions, and you also mention experience and decision-making. However, the argument is only partly developed: the moon example explains a change in knowledge more clearly than a change in habits, while the claim that people who retain habits are “mentally sick” is unsupported and does not convincingly address the issue. The conclusion repeats your view but adds the broad claim that age changes “all bad habits” without evidence. Develop both sides of your partial agreement with more balanced, specific examples and clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. However, progression within the body is uneven: the first paragraph moves from childhood cognition to research, experience, decision-making and problem-solving without clearly connecting each point. Repeated wording such as “when they get older” and “opinions and habits” makes the links feel mechanical, while “Like this” does not clearly show how the example supports the general claim. The paragraph about people who do not change is difficult to follow because the example and explanation are not clearly separated. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “cognition,” “perception,” “decision making ability” and “problem solving ability,” which helps communicate your ideas about development. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “change,” “habits,” “opinions” and “get older,” and several word combinations are unnatural or unclear, such as “tiny age,” “moon moving mystery” and “adopt that environment.” The phrase “mentally sick” is also an imprecise and potentially inappropriate way to describe someone who keeps a habit. These choices sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Aim for more precise, natural expressions and vary repeated vocabulary, while choosing terms that accurately describe the behaviour you mean.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional-style explanation and clauses beginning with “because” and “when.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, tense, articles and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “every people … makes” has an agreement error, while “when they get older they studied and research” shifts tense and does not form a consistent clause. “It can creates” also has an incorrect verb form, and the sentence beginning “There are some people who cannot change” becomes difficult to control as it continues. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and keep verb tenses consistent.
