Student answer (Band 6.0)

IT is frequently observed that people modify their personal routines and core beliefs as they grow to adulthood and senior years.I completely agree with this statement, as both physical aging and life experience change how they live and what they believe.

To begin with, an individual daily habits undergo major transformation primarily driven by changing health needs and life stages. In youth people have more energy and less responsibilities which is why they have a unorganised sleeping rountine and they eat a lot of fast food. As they enter in adulthood they start taking life seriously due to increase in responsibilities and they also start eating a balance diet which include clean food. People also start taking physical health seriously by going gym and doing exercise on daily basis which improve their overall health.

In addition, individuals mental abilities as well as the way they think change as they grow old since life experience teach them a lot of stuff . As child they don't think twice while doing something but as they grow to adulthood they have to think a lot about different perspectives as what job they should have to do to complete there financial needs and what song will sound good on their social media post etc.. Social media also play's a major role in changing people thinking such as a large variaty of different opinions of different people on same problem is avilable on the internet .

In conclusion , people habits and mindset change as they get older and by geting more and more life experience about their needs and life whereas social media also pays great contribution in their thinking.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions: the first body paragraph discusses changes to diet, sleep and exercise, while the second considers how experience and social media can influence thinking. These are relevant reasons, and the examples make the response understandable. However, the development is uneven. The habits paragraph gives several examples, but the discussion of changing opinions is less fully explained; the social-media point, in particular, is introduced without showing clearly how it changes someone’s beliefs as they age. Extend this idea with a specific example and explain the link between age, experience and changed opinions more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around different aspects of the question, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main stages, and the ideas generally progress logically. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, connections within sentences and between examples are not always smooth. The second body paragraph moves from childhood behaviour to career decisions and then to social-media posts, so its central point becomes less focused. Some linking phrases also feel formulaic. Group related examples more carefully and use clearer references to show how each example supports the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related phrases such as “changing health needs,” “life experience,” “financial needs” and “different perspectives.” There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as “core beliefs” and “physical health.” However, the range is limited in places, and several inaccurate word choices, collocations and spelling errors reduce precision: “unorganised sleeping rountine,” “balance diet,” “variaty” and “avilable.” Some expressions, such as “a lot of stuff,” are too informal for this essay. Choose more precise academic phrasing, check spelling carefully, and learn common word partnerships—for example, “a balanced diet” and “take exercise”—to make your meaning more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “which is why” and a subordinate clause beginning “since life experience…”. The overall meaning is usually clear, and the response is divided into complete sentences. However, some grammatical errors affect accuracy and occasionally make sentences harder to follow. Examples include missing possessive forms in “an individual daily habits” and “individuals mental abilities,” incorrect agreement in “life experience teach” and “social media… play’s,” and problems with articles and verb patterns in “enter in adulthood” and “start taking life seriously.” Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially around the long sentence listing questions. Review possessives, subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for one clear grammatical structure.
