Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the three requested points in a basic way: you explain that you enjoy the fresh air and trees, mention increasing litter, and propose newspaper coverage to raise awareness. However, the response is under the required 150 words, and this leaves the ideas notably under-developed. The litter description is especially vague: “more litters” does not tell readers what kinds of rubbish you have seen or where it is accumulating. Your proposed action is relevant, but could be more fully explained or supplemented with practical measures such as bins or signs. The letter also needs a more appropriate opening and closing for a local newspaper. Add specific details and develop each point to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: it begins with your enjoyment of walking, moves to the litter problem, and ends with a suggested response. This helps the reader identify the main purpose. However, the ideas are compressed into one block, so the letter would be easier to follow if you used separate paragraphs for the setting, the problem, and your suggestions. Some links are also unclear or mechanical, particularly “However, i noticed that some the walking area…” and “As ervery on the town read this local news paper.” The final sentence does not connect smoothly to the recommendation before it. Use clear paragraphing and straightforward links such as “Recently” and “Therefore,” while making sure each sentence develops the previous idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “countryside,” “natural environment,” “litter,” and “awareness message,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, which makes parts of the letter difficult to interpret. For example, “more litters” is not the natural way to refer to rubbish, and “pure environment” is an awkward collocation. There are also spelling errors such as “maintened,” “becuase,” and “ervery,” alongside repeated use of “walking area.” Build a wider set of precise terms for rubbish and locations, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the opening sentence with “where” and the explanation beginning “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Examples include “due its natural pure environment,” which is missing a necessary article or preposition, and “some the walking area,” where the sentence structure is incomplete. The phrase “Rue purpose of my writing to inform you” also lacks a clear subject and verb construction. Capitalisation of “i” is inconsistent, and the closing phrase “Your faithfully” is not grammatically formed. Practise complete sentence patterns, articles, and verb forms, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
