Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make a relevant attempt to explain that you enjoy walking with your wife in the countryside and appreciate its natural setting. You also mention litter and ask the newspaper to address the issue. However, the task is only minimally addressed: the location is vague, the description of the litter is not specific, and no practical measures are suggested. The phrase “lot of litters” does not explain what you have actually seen, such as bottles or food packaging. The letter also does not clearly present a request for publication or explain what action readers or local authorities could take. Develop each bullet point with clear details—for example, identify the affected path and suggest bins, signs, or enforcement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic letter-like sequence: an opening, a paragraph about walking, a paragraph raising the problem, and a closing. This gives the reader some sense of the intended progression. However, the ideas within paragraphs are not consistently connected, and the overall development is limited. For example, the description of the countryside shifts from the “main street” to water and fish, then to litter without clear links. Connect each point in a logical order and use paragraphing to separate your enjoyment of the walks, the litter observed, and proposed solutions. Some linking words, such as “So,” are used, but they do not clarify the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “countryside,” “nature,” “beautiful,” and “litter,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-form errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “eistle,” “routin,” “gratfull,” and “slove.” Some expressions are also unclear or unnatural, including “the vibe of nature” and “lot of litters.” Build a more precise range for describing the setting and rubbish, and check spelling carefully. For instance, name specific items you have seen and use natural phrases such as “the peaceful scenery” or “plastic bottles and food wrappers” rather than relying on general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but grammatical control is weak and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the meaning unclear. Examples include “I am drafting this … to sharing,” “Me and my wife walk ever day,” and “when we are going throw the main street its look like.” These show problems with verb forms, sentence structure, agreement, and punctuation. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “the mailn reason i enjoy alot…” followed by a comma splice. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then combine ideas using controlled clauses. For example: “My wife and I walk there every day because we enjoy the peaceful scenery.”
