IELTS Writing Task 1 question
Student answer (Band 7.5)
Dear Luis,
I am writing to suggest a popular dish from my home country, India, for our upcoming International Students' Club food event.
I would love to prepare Paneer Bhurji, a traditional and highly popular North Indian dish. It is a flavorful scramble made of crumbled cottage cheese sautéed with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and a blend of authentic spices. Because it takes only 15 to 20 minutes to prepare, I can easily cook a fresh batch right before or even during the event.
I strongly believe Paneer Bhurji would be a fantastic addition to the menu. Indian cuisine is widely celebrated around the world, and this dish offers a rich taste of traditional Indian flavors in a light, vegetarian-friendly option. Its rich, aromatic spices and comforting texture make it an instant crowd-pleaser that will appeal to students from all cultural backgrounds.
Please let me know if you would like me to include it in the schedule. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Warm regards,
