Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You make a general attempt to explain why you walk, mentioning that walking refreshes your mind and is important for health, and you refer to environmental damage and rule-breaking. However, the letter only minimally addresses the task: it does not clearly identify where you walk, and it never describes the litter itself, such as bottles, wrappers, or other rubbish. The proposed response—making rules and ensuring people follow them—is also vague and not explained. Several sentences focus on other walkers being friendly or playing games rather than the litter problem. To develop the response, cover each bullet directly with specific details and practical suggestions, such as adding bins or arranging regular clean-ups.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the letter through expressions such as “firstly,” “furthermore,” and “finally,” and the reader can identify a broad movement from your enjoyment of walking to concerns about other people’s behaviour. However, the progression is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or placed together without clear links. For example, “I am very upset” is followed by an unclear explanation, and the final point repeats that people do not follow rules without adding a distinct idea. The response is also presented as one long block, with little effective paragraphing. Use separate paragraphs for your enjoyment and location, the litter observed, and proposed solutions, and connect each point clearly.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant words, including “health,” “environment,” “rules and regulation,” and “damage,” so the general subject can be recognised. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, and frequent spelling errors make the message harder to understand: examples include “writting,” “explian,” “upestt,” and “disipline.” Some phrases do not express the intended meaning clearly, such as “provide some situation” and “all the people very honest.” Build a more accurate range for this topic, including concrete words for rubbish and solutions, such as “litter,” “plastic packaging,” “discarded bottles,” “rubbish bins,” and “community clean-up.” Check spelling and choose phrases that state your meaning directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to form longer sentences and use linking clauses, for example, “when i am going to the walking near the home then i am very satisfiy,” but sentence structures are often incomplete or difficult to interpret. Basic patterns are frequently missing or inaccurate: “all the people very happy” needs a verb, while “when walk then see” lacks a clear subject and verb structure. Verb forms and agreement are also unreliable, as in “people not follow” and “you can make the rules and regulation and strictly follow all peoples.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, with several ideas run together. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clear clauses, for example, “I enjoy walking near my home because it helps me relax.”
