Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the general situation and suggest that the newspaper should look into the problem, while also explaining that you enjoy walking in a nearby park and that litter makes the area unpleasant for families. However, the task’s three points are not all developed clearly. The litter is described only generally as “some litter,” with no examples of what you have seen, and the proposed action—“look into this matter”—does not explain what the newspaper or community could actually do. Your reason for enjoying the walks is also vague. To make the letter more complete, give specific examples of rubbish and practical measures, such as adding bins or publishing a request for walkers to take their litter home.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response follows a broadly understandable order: it introduces the setting, describes the problem, explains its effect on families, and ends with a request. This gives the reader a basic sense of progression. However, the ideas are crowded into long, loosely connected sentences, and there are no paragraph breaks to distinguish the letter’s different purposes. Connectors such as “Therefor” do not clearly show the relationship between the preceding point and the request. Some references, including “these litter” and “this matter,” are also unclear. Use separate paragraphs for your enjoyment of the walks, the litter and its effects, and your proposed solutions; shorter sentences and clearer linking would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “litter,” “park,” “environment,” “diseases,” and “healthy,” so the reader can identify the subject and your concern. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the message harder to understand. For example, “presious looking garden,” “beloved movements,” and “litter surronds you” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Spelling errors such as “unpleasent,” “enviroment,” and “sincerly” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of words for rubbish and its effects, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, “pleasant place to spend time” would be clearer than “presious looking garden.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to communicate several connected ideas, but sentence structures are mostly basic or run together, and frequent grammatical errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I'm living in the country which is very neat and clean I have walking routine” lacks clear sentence boundaries and has an incorrect verb pattern. In “whenever go outside,” the subject is missing, while “there is mandatory” needs a grammatical subject and article. Tense and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “they saw uncleaned area.” Use complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and practise articles, verb forms, and punctuation. Breaking the long sentences into shorter units would help you control these patterns.
