Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that you walk near your home for fresh air and to reduce stress, identify litter such as cans, snack packets and bottles, and suggest adding bins and fining repeat offenders. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your concern. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. The reasons for enjoying the countryside are listed, but could be explained more clearly, and the proposed fine is not accompanied by details about who would enforce it or how. The opening also asks for attention without clearly stating that you are writing to raise a growing local problem. A more explicit purpose and a little more support for the solutions would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the concern, gives reasons for enjoying walks, describes the litter, and ends with proposed solutions. Paragraph breaks help separate these functions, and words such as “however” and “in addition” signal relationships between ideas. At times, though, the links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “however” appears at the start of both the opening and the litter paragraph, while “which contains” is left as a fragment and its reference is uncertain. The transition from enjoying nature to describing litter could also be smoother. Use clear topic sentences and connect each suggestion directly to the problem it addresses; this would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “countryside,” “fresh air,” “stress and anxiety,” “garbage bins,” and “environment.” There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “beautiful nature.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “cleaniness,” “greenry,” “bottels,” and “enivornment” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, including “consumption of fresh air” and “pay some amount money.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate phrasing. Proofreading spelling and learning common expressions for litter and public spaces would improve clarity and make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because consumption of fresh air helps to reduce stress” and a conditional suggestion beginning “if someone…”. The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “i noticed some people throw” needs consistent tense, and “if someone do it again then have to pay” lacks correct subject–verb agreement and a clear subject in the second clause. There are also sentence-boundary problems, such as “Which contains…” following a full stop, and punctuation is often missing after sentence openings. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and complete conditional sentences, while checking capitalisation and punctuation.
