Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address all three bullet points: you explain that walking benefits your physical and mental health, mention plastic bottles and polythene, and propose bins, posters and warnings. These are relevant ideas, but they are only briefly developed. The location is unclear in “kings Street 15 kilometres near my house,” and the description of the litter gives little detail about where or how much you have seen. Your suggestions would be stronger if you explained who should provide the bins or how warnings could be enforced. The response is also 12 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop the points. Add specific details while keeping the letter focused on the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable structure, with an opening complaint followed by paragraphs introduced by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally.” This helps the reader identify the three main points. However, the progression is somewhat mechanical, and the links between ideas within paragraphs are limited. For example, the sentence about cleanliness follows the litter description without explaining how it relates to the problem. The opening also contains a confusing break after “walkers,” and the final suggestions are compressed into one sequence. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each detail to its main point; paragraphing the problem and proposed solutions separately could also make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic topic, including “plastic bottles,” “physical and mental health,” and “dustbin.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or combinations sound unnatural or imprecise, such as “take a fresh oxygen,” “give facilities of dustbin,” and “give strictly warning.” “It is not looking well” does not clearly express the effect of litter on the countryside. Aim for more precise phrases such as “breathe fresh air,” “provide rubbish bins,” and “issue strict warnings.” Also use consistent, appropriate terms for the setting and litter, for example “countryside paths” and “plastic packaging.” These changes would make your meaning clearer and your letter more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate the main ideas, but grammatical control is uneven, and the response relies mostly on short, simple statements. Errors include “I enjoyed a walking,” “because of it is beneficial,” and “cleanliness play,” where articles, clause structure, and subject–verb agreement need attention. Tense also shifts between “I enjoyed” and “I liked” when describing a regular activity; the present simple would be more suitable. The opening has an incomplete, confusing sentence boundary after “walkers,” and the closing “Your faithfully” is not grammatically formed. Practise building accurate sentences with a main clause and a supporting reason, and check agreement, articles, tense consistency, and punctuation before submitting.
