Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you explain that you enjoy the riverside countryside, describe discarded bottles and food containers, and suggest bins, penalties, and cleanliness campaigns. The purpose is clear, and the suggestions are relevant. Some details are less fully developed, however: the location is described generally rather than identified more precisely, and the proposed measures are listed without explaining how they would reduce litter or who would organise the campaigns. The phrase “This all things make area an attractive” also leaves your meaning unclear about the effect of the rubbish. To strengthen the letter, clarify this point and briefly explain how one or two proposed actions could encourage walkers to dispose of waste responsibly. A more conventional newspaper-letter opening and closing would also suit the audience better.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: the first paragraph explains your enjoyment of walking, the second introduces the litter problem, and the third proposes solutions. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “However,” and “To solve this problem” help signal these stages, and the reader can follow the main progression. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, though. For example, “this mess area” and “this all things” do not refer clearly to the litter, while the solutions are joined in a long sequence with “first,” “secondly,” and “lastly” rather than being developed in distinct sentences. Use clear references such as “this rubbish” and separate each recommendation, adding a brief explanation to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “green fields,” “fresh air,” “plastic water bottles,” “food container,” “garbage bins,” and “penalty.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “local authority” and “campaigns.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the message difficult to interpret: “plasent,” “planty,” “opprotunity,” and “contio unesly” appear to represent familiar words, while “This all things make area an attractive” uses an unsuitable expression. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “take fresh air.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for describing litter and public action; this will make your meaning more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason clause in “as it near by river” and a conditional idea beginning “if they are doing…”. This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but control is limited: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur repeatedly and can make some ideas hard to follow. For example, “I am just want to express” combines incompatible verb forms, “this place is beautiful … as it near by river” is missing grammatical elements, and “local authority has impose penalty” has an incorrect verb pattern. The conditional recommendation is also difficult to understand as written. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add clauses with correct subject–verb agreement and verb forms. Use sentence boundaries and punctuation to separate the recommendations.
