Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the letter’s general purpose and explain that you enjoy walking and running because of the views, while also mentioning litter and asking the newspaper to act. However, the task is only partially covered: the location is described vaguely as “the area,” and the litter itself is not specified beyond “litter” in “different places.” The proposed response, “make a noise against the people,” is unclear and does not give practical measures. Your position as a concerned regular walker is present, but the ideas need clearer explanation and development. To strengthen the response, identify the countryside location, give examples such as bottles or food packaging, and suggest specific actions such as bins, signs, or public awareness.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has separate paragraphs for the reason for writing, your enjoyment of walking, the litter problem, and a request for action. This gives the reader some organisation, and sequencing words such as “Firstly” help signal a new point. However, progression between ideas is limited: the opening combines the complaint and its effects, while the later paragraphs do not develop the points in a clear sequence. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “That” in “That is not good” are not very precise. Use a clearer progression—purpose, location and enjoyment, specific litter, then practical solutions—and connect each point with straightforward, accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “regular walker,” “litter,” “environment,” and “reputation.” This is enough to communicate the broad concern, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, such as “padistrain places,” “fro the walkers,” and “considerable my request.” The description of the litter also repeats the general word “litter” rather than naming what you have seen. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe “plastic bottles and food wrappers” and say that you hope the newspaper will “consider” your request or “raise awareness” of the problem.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, for example, “I am a regular walker and noticeing these effects from many days which is going to increase.” However, the longer structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the message difficult to follow. Examples include “people are left” instead of a correctly formed passive, “me and other walkers are enjoy,” and “because it not present,” where verb forms and sentence structure are not controlled. There are also problems with articles and agreement, as in “it especially design.” Focus first on accurate basic patterns: “people leave litter,” “other walkers and I enjoy walking,” and “it does not present a good image.” Then build longer sentences from these reliable forms.
