Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that walking helps you relax and stay fit, describe bottles, food wrappers and paper cups on the footpath, and suggest installing more bins. The letter also makes its purpose clear by expressing concern and asking the newspaper to raise awareness. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. The location is only described generally as the countryside near your home, and the proposed solution is brief; you could explain where bins should be placed or add another practical measure, such as signs or regular clean-ups. The reason for walking is relevant, but a clearer description of the particular countryside setting would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall sequence: it introduces the concern, explains your enjoyment of walking, describes the litter, and ends with a suggestion and request to the newspaper. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Moreever” introduces another reason without clearly linking it to the previous sentence, while the long description of the litter and its effects runs together. The final paragraph also combines the proposed action, the request to publish the letter, and a closing thanks. Use clearer sentence boundaries and organise the solution and newspaper request separately. More precise linking and reference would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “plastic bottles,” “food wrappers,” “footpath,” “rubbish bins,” and “raise awareness,” so the main message is understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural, such as “ammout,” “wast,” “rubbies,” and “unplesement.” Some combinations are also awkward: “environment is very peaceful” and “protect this issue” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim to learn accurate topic vocabulary and common collocations, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise choices such as “litter,” “pollute the surrounding area,” and “address the problem” would strengthen the letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, explaining that walking helps you relax and stay fit, and describing how litter affects animals and the environment. The meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems remain. In “it help me relax and keeps me physically fit,” the subject and verbs do not agree; “it may harms” also uses an incorrect verb form after “may.” Several ideas are joined without full stops, making sentence boundaries unclear, and the opening and closing lack consistent punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, modal verb patterns, and sentence punctuation. Separating the longer ideas into complete sentences would improve control and readability.
