Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you explain that you walk regularly to enjoy the fresh air, a friend’s company and the lakeside scenery; describe plastic and food packaging left along the path; and suggest installing bins and arranging regular checks and clean-ups. The purpose of writing to the newspaper is clear, and the letter has an appropriate opening and closing. Some ideas, however, are less fully developed than others. The description of the litter is brief, and the proposed actions would be more persuasive if you explained who should provide or maintain the bins and how walkers could be encouraged to use them. The opening also shifts attention to retired people rather than focusing directly on your own reasons for walking. Develop these points more specifically to make the message more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the concern, gives personal context and describes the problem, then offers solutions and closes politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Secondly” make the suggestions easy to identify. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Resulted that garbage were collected this pathway” does not clearly show how the litter affects walkers, and “So that” is used as a sentence fragment in the final paragraph. The shift from older walkers to your own experience also interrupts the progression slightly. Use complete sentences and clearer cause-and-effect links, and connect each paragraph more directly to the central concern.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “countryside,” “plastic waste,” “food package,” “dustbin,” and “clean.” There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “picturesque scenery.” However, several inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts of the message difficult to understand: “I express my concert” does not convey your concern, “albumin waste” is unclear, and “spread time with a friend” is not a natural expression. Spelling and word forms such as “cleaness” and “elders people” also reduce precision. Build a reliable set of phrases for describing litter and proposing community action, and check that each word fits its context. This would make your meaning clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can generally follow the main message. However, there are some recurring errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles. For example, “those people who was retired” has incorrect agreement, while “I also like to walking” uses the wrong verb pattern. In “I observed next week that many of individual left,” the tense and plural form are not controlled, and “I hope you can considered” uses an incorrect verb form after “can.” Some punctuation and capitalisation also need attention, particularly the run-on construction around “pathway, So that.” Practise accurate verb patterns and build longer sentences from correctly formed clauses.
