Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main situation and give a reason for writing, mentioning that you live nearby and enjoy the countryside paths. You also identify the growing problem of rubbish and suggest an advertisement to raise awareness. However, the task is only partly developed: the place is described generally rather than specifically, and the litter itself is not described (for example, what kinds of rubbish you have seen). The proposed advertisement is also unclear, and the letter does not explain how it would be distributed or what other practical action could help. Develop each bullet point with concrete details, and make your request to the newspaper explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has separate paragraphs for the reason for writing, the problem, and a suggestion, so the reader can identify its main sections. Some linking is attempted with phrases such as “Not only me but” and “so,” and the ideas are generally related to the topic. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the sentence about the paths, other walkers, the cleaning department, and collection frequency combines several points without clear connections. The opening and closing also feel disconnected from the purpose of a newspaper letter. Use clearer topic sentences and link each point in a logical sequence, with references that make it clear who is responsible for action.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “countryside,” “pathways,” “garbage,” and “litter,” which helps communicate the general issue. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “adderv,” “disribute,” and “awear.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “countryside walking area” and “collecting once in a few only.” Choose familiar, accurate phrases rather than attempting unclear wording, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the rubbish and possible solutions would also help you describe the problem and make your proposal convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “Not only me but almost every person enjoying it,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “I m living near countryside,” “every person enjoying it,” and “we can make one adderv,” where the sentence patterns are incomplete or incorrectly formed. There are also run-on constructions, particularly in the paragraph describing the paths and rubbish. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense. For instance, use “I live near the countryside” and “many people enjoy it.”
