Dear sir\madam
i am writing this email to inform about litter done by some indiscent fellow walkers at hunaman park .
I am resident of ottowa from 15 years , i love to walk around the hunaman park which is located in the center of city with flowers and plants around it .I have seen more litter and garbage bins splitting around and inside the park due to other walkers irresponsible work . Many plastic wastes like cans ,covers and chips wrappers ,ciggarates buds and some glass bottles including beers too .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address all three points: you explain that you enjoy walking in Hunaman Park, describe several kinds of rubbish, and propose action by officials and local residents. The examples of “cans,” “wrappers,” cigarette ends and glass bottles make the problem clear. However, the reason you enjoy walking is only briefly developed; mentioning the flowers and plants gives some detail, but you could explain what makes the setting enjoyable to you. The proposed response is also somewhat unclear: “write a report questioning government officials” does not specify what action you want them to take. State practical measures, such as adding bins, arranging regular clean-ups or imposing fines, and make the purpose of the letter to the newspaper explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a generally coherent order: it introduces the issue, gives background about the park, describes the litter, and then offers suggestions and a closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “Also” and “I hope” guide the reader. Some connections are less clear, however. The opening says “inform about litter,” while the next paragraph shifts to your residence and enjoyment of the park without a smooth link. The sentence listing rubbish is also detached from the preceding sentence, and “Also write a quotation” is difficult to connect to the suggested report. Use clearer transitions and organise the description and recommendations into distinct, fully connected paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main issue, including “litter,” “garbage bins,” “plastic wastes,” “glass bottles” and “public safety.” There are also attempts at more formal language, such as “immediate action” and “responsible citizen.” However, several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts of the letter difficult to interpret, particularly “indiscent fellow walkers,” “bins splitting,” and “write a quatation.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “other walkers irresponsible work” and “save environment.” Choose familiar, precise phrases and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would make your complaint sound clearer and more appropriate for a local newspaper.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes some longer sentence attempts, for example the sentence beginning “I am resident of ottowa” and the recommendation beginning “I suggest you to write a report.” However, control is uneven, and errors in articles, sentence construction and punctuation sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “I am resident” instead of “I have been a resident,” and the fragment “Many plastic wastes like cans…” rather than a complete sentence. The opening and closing also need conventional punctuation and capitalisation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas with clauses such as “because” or “which.” This will help you express the recommendations more clearly while retaining some structural variety.
