Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the countryside area near DHA City Karachi and explain that you walk there after work because you value its peaceful environment and the chance to feel re-energised. You also mention litter on the walking track and its effect on the area and other walkers. However, the task is addressed only partially: the litter is not described in concrete terms, and the proposed response is vague. “I request to please take notice” does not explain what the newspaper, authorities, or walkers should actually do. The letter also opens “Dear Stephen,” rather than the required “Dear Sir or Madam,” which weakens its suitability for a local newspaper. Develop the litter details and give specific, practical measures, such as bins, signs, or regular clean-ups.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has some organisation: it moves from your reason for walking, to the litter problem, and then to its effects and a request for action. Separate paragraphs help distinguish these points. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several links between ideas are awkward or incomplete. For example, “As along with many others are using this spent time” does not clearly connect the number of walkers to the litter, while “thereby” introduces the request without a clear preceding cause-and-effect structure. Some ideas are repeated, particularly the request that authorities take notice. Use clearer topic sentences and straightforward links such as “However,” “As a result,” and “To address this,” while ensuring each paragraph develops one point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “environment,” “walking track,” “green area,” and “authorities,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. “Access litter” does not clearly describe the rubbish, “cleaninness” is not the appropriate term for the action needed, and “damages the beautification” is unnatural. Spelling errors such as “pleasent,” “peacefull,” and “detoriating” also reduce accuracy. Choose concrete nouns for the rubbish and natural phrases for its effects, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make the complaint clearer and more persuasive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning. For example, “I used this place am daily walking that side” combines verb forms and sentence patterns incorrectly, while “daily i went for walk” has problems with tense, article use, and sentence capitalisation. The fragment beginning “because of” is not joined correctly to the preceding sentence, and “As along with many others are using this spent time” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Try building accurate short sentences first, then combine related ideas with a correctly formed clause. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, tense consistency, and punctuation, especially at sentence boundaries.
