Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a personal opinion: the IPL example illustrates international cooperation, while your discussion of national teams and hostile fans supports the competition view. However, the ideas are only partly developed, and your position is not consistently clear: “mybe yes this correct” is difficult to interpret, while the final paragraph says games should not become a war without fully explaining how events can also build friendship. The response is also 25 words below the required minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and a specific example, then state your opinion directly and support it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from an opening view to the IPL example, then to the opposing view and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader a basic sense of the discussion. However, paragraphing and progression are not consistently controlled. The opening combines several ideas in one long, unclear sequence, and transitions such as “In my side” and “The others side” are awkward or do not clearly signal the relationship between points. Repetition of “that time” also makes the argument feel circular. Use one paragraph for each view, followed by a conclusion, and connect ideas with clear references such as “By contrast” and “This suggests that.”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic but includes relevant topic words such as “countries,” “team,” “competition,” “fans,” and “friendship,” so the main subject is usually recognisable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, including “olymics,” “cometiton,” “friendshi,” and “sporters.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “celebrating win” and “home time.” Aim to use accurate, task-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe teams as “representing their countries” and fans as “supporters”; this will make your meaning clearer and help avoid repeated, imprecise wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express connected ideas, including a contrast between international leagues and national competitions, but most sentences rely on simple patterns and several attempts at longer sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “Some people believe … and we can add cricket as well, are good way …” has an unclear sentence structure, while “every team have a member” shows problems with subject–verb agreement. Articles and plurals are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “a 10 team” and “a at leatst 15 members.” Use shorter, complete sentences first, checking that each has a clear subject and verb; then practise joining ideas with accurate clauses and punctuation.
