Student answer (Band 5.0)

Now days some people believe that international sports events such as the Olympics or the football worlds cup are a good way to bring countries together and some people think that a mach can not made the the people friends. They think that they practice together and made a good relationship and after the match they have a good relationship after that it's also do that but other public say that they cannot become a best friends and relationships. After gey a bad results they become enyme and they don't like each other .

But it's my opinion that sports events such as Olympic games and other made a good relationship with each other countries.in this eassy first I will give you some resone and than discuss my opinion why am agree and disagree.

For example some player practice together and had a Nice relationship with another and they become friends .and after they failed they do not changed their behavior with his friends I think sport and games can't made the enyme of the other countries it's fully depends on the player attitude and their nature .I will be not better say that games become a bad relationship with each other countries .

It's my personal opinion that games and sports cannot chaned the nature of the player's towards the other countries .it's just depends on our qualification and our hard-work if we do hard work we can also get good results . People's know that what they do so a sports and game do not changed the relationship between countrys it's just depend on the leader a good leader take a good pointment they do not bad with the other.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. The arguments regarding 'player attitude' and 'hard work' are somewhat tangential to the core issue of international relations and sports diplomacy. The position is stated but lacks the depth required for a higher band, as the reasoning remains superficial and lacks concrete examples of how sports events specifically impact international relations. The essay struggles to maintain a clear, logical flow of argumentation throughout the paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and sometimes inaccurate way, such as the repetitive use of 'and' and 'after that'. Referencing is frequently confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's train of thought. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt, and the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary linking words to create a smooth, logical flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and basic, which restricts the ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'mach' for match, 'eassy' for essay, 'resone' for reason, and 'enyme' for enemy. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic with any precision. The student relies on simple, repetitive language, and the misuse of terms like 'pointment' further hinders the clarity of the message. Significant improvement in spelling and the acquisition of topic-specific vocabulary is necessary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('sports and games can't made'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures. Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent spacing and misuse of commas. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are almost always faulty, which often obscures the intended meaning. The majority of sentences contain errors, and the lack of control over basic grammar significantly impacts the readability of the text.
