Student answer (Band 5.0)

FEW INDIVIDUAL CONSIDER THAT GLOBAL SPORTS EVENT LIKE THE OLYMPICS OR THE FOOTBALL WORLD CUP ARE HELPS TO MAKE GOOD REALTION WITH OTHER COUNTRY.

HOWEVER SOME PEOPLE ARGUE THAT THESE EVENTS ASSITS TO INCREASE COMPETITION.

ON THE ONE HAND THE OLYMPICS OR THAT FOOTBALL WORLD CUP IT IS A GOOD WAY TO MEET NEW COUNTRIE'S PEOPLE. HOWEVER THESE ACTIVITIES IS CONVENIENT FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE EVENTS. LET'S TAKE AN EXAMPLE; WHENEVER PEOPLE GO OUT SOMEWHERE THEY MEET TO NEW PEOPLE AND IT WILL HEPLFUL FOR LEARN THIER CULTURE AND LAUNGAUGES.

THEREFORE FOOTBALL WORLD CUP IS ESSENTIAL TO VISIT GO OUT AND ALSO IT HEPLS TO STRESS OUT.

ON THE ANOTHER HAND SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT THESE EVENTS CAN MOTIVATES PEOPLE TO PLAY WELL. FURTHERMORE, IT IS INCREASE TO COMPETETOR. ADDITIONALY IT CAN REDUCE FREINDSHIP BETWEEN COUNTRIES. HOWEVER IT IS GOOD FACT ALL PLAYERS WANT TO PLAY IN A GOOD WAY, ALL PEOPLE ALWAYS SUPPORT OUR TEAM. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE AN EXAMPLERY, WHENEVER HELD EVENTS BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES LIKE INDIA AND PAKISTAN. EACH COUNTRIES PEOPLE ALWAYS SUPPORT WHO IS FAVORITE FOR THEM. INDIAN PEOPLE ALWAYS SUPPORT INDIAN TEAM , LIKEWISE PAKISTAN'S PEOPLE ALWAYS SUPPORT TO PAKISTANI TEAM. SOMETIME PEOPLE DO DEBATE FROM SECOND TEAM. ALL SUPPORTERS WANT TO WIN THEM TEAM. THEREFORE SOME TIME ITS MAKE TOUGH SITUATION.

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THAT BOTH VIEW POINTS ARE TRUTH. THE WORLD CUP IS ASSIST TO MAKE NEW FREINDS OF ANOTHER COUNTRIES, FURTHERMORE OLYMPICS GAME ALSO CAN MOTIVATES TO PEOPLE FOR PARTICIPATING AS A RESULT IT HELP GROW COMPTETOR.

IN CONCLUSION, BOTH VIEW POINT IS CORRECT ALL PEOPLE WANT TO WIN ALWAYS WHO TEAM WON IT MAKE PROUD OF OUR COUNTRY IN CONTRAST TO OTHER COUNTRIES INDIVIDUAL.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding 'competition' is mentioned but not explored with depth or sophistication. The explanation of the India-Pakistan example is somewhat superficial and does not fully connect to the broader theme of international relations. To improve, you should aim to expand your points with more detailed reasoning and clearer examples that directly support your central argument, rather than listing general observations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps the overall structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'furthermore' and 'however'. The logical flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the two viewpoints could be smoother. Improving your use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic words like 'good', 'people', and 'help'. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'realtion', 'assits', 'laungauges', 'comptetor', 'freindship') and word-choice inaccuracies that occasionally impede communication. You attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary, but the lack of precision and the high frequency of errors in basic spelling and word formation prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on learning collocations and expanding your range of synonyms to avoid repeating the same simple terms throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'these activities is', 'world cup is assist'), incorrect verb forms, and missing articles. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often poorly constructed and contain errors that make the meaning unclear. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of semicolons and commas. To improve, you must focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
