Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern technological era, it is widely argued that global sports events are significant to create strong relations with other countries. However, others think that these events develop competition, not friendship and negative factors, between countries. This essay will be discussed both points of view with comprehensive evidences before reaching to a conclusion.
To begin with, one major benefit is that other regions may get a chance to visit a new country and know about it. If a specific country organises global-level sports events, visitors can explore tourist places and try different food and many other things and may increase the value of other public. For example, India organised cricket tournaments last year and a lot of foreigners came to watch the live event. Moreover, small businesses got a chance to earn money from visitors. Therefore, visitors became interested to visit india and enjoy meeting with others. In addition, it would expand the ecosystem of the country.
On other hand, there are several terrible issues for managing international events. One of the major problems is that violence might arise from the events, as well as competition between players and audiences. Furthermore, sometimes enemies will be generated from global sports events. For instance, I have noticed plenty of times is that when a certain country holds sports events and tourists come there to watch live event, unfortunately, audiences create arguments with each other and start fighting and become angry, that is why the country will decrease their reputation and lose substantial things.
To sum up, although international sports events have a huge amount of benefits for countries, they can create several negative problems for Individuals. I firmly believe that countries should organise global game events but they must manage everything and will be careful during events.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'violence' and 'enemies' is mentioned but lacks specific, well-explained examples to support the claim. The discussion on the benefits of tourism is more developed, but the link between hosting sports events and 'expanding the ecosystem' is vague. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples that directly link the event to the specific social or political outcomes discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'that is why the country will decrease their reputation'. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the connection between managing events and the conclusion is a bit abrupt.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'tourist places', 'reputation', and 'substantial'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'enemies will be generated' (instead of 'tensions may arise') and 'negative factors' used in a context where it does not quite fit. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary related to international relations and sports.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'This essay will be discussed both points of view' (passive voice error) and 'visitors became interested to visit india' (preposition/infinitive error). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
